I am surprised you did not get the offset version of the Duplex. I have the Duplex and never have any issues with condensation except when it’s pouring rain out. I am surprised to hear your having issues since it’s so dry out there. I hike mostly on the East coast of the U.S. and it can be super wet and humid. I have maybe 1,200 miles in my Duplex and it’s been very good. Take care

I got used to it, was just in my xmid I rarely had any condensation....having said that when I got back I did an overnighter back in the xmid on the coast and got absolutely soaked haha

@@anothertravelflog When and if someone resolves condensation issue they will rule the single wall tent market. I got stuck in my in a 10 inch down pour in Vermont this summer and it was not pretty. I slept in my rain gear. I never took my quilt out.

Great coverage of your hike Ben. Are you walking around other hikers if so can you drop their trail names there are a few walking the same as you. Do you have a trail name? Stay safe “Outback” pct ‘19

Hi outback, no trail name yet. I don't really walk with others, only see them around town. Occasionally bump into same person for 1-2 days, then gone. I don't video when there's others around, something I kind of do when by myself, if I'm camping with others I forget all about videoing usually

Good to hear the comparisons with the X-Mid. I'm heavily considering investing in one for down here in Victoria and potentially a little further if I ever get the time off, how would you rate how it handles the Aussie weather? Did it hold up enough on the AAWT, I'd say that's one of my long, long term goals at this point.

I've given it a bit of a flogging and it hasn't fallen apart yet. Its good for the AAWT, I'd say you just need to pick your sites, as it's not the best in exposed sites to wind. Only other complaint is can't fit your backpack in the mesh with you, so if the mice are around they're crawling all over your bag all night- see larapinta.

Hmmm, all lagers are pretty similar to me. Coors banquet probably pick of them. There's a million craft beers to choose from which I generally prefer, but trying not to over do it this trip..

I got the x-mid pro 2p. Great for solo ops, but a bit cramped for two people. Travel safe, and enjoy those hard earned beers!
