I’m not gonna comment on the rest, but I definitely think the tag division hasn’t been the same since the trios titles got introduced. The introduction of too many titles, watered down and split the division and it just seems like there’s no real focus or heat in the tag division right now. Especially since we disbanded Aussie Open, Acclaimed seems like they’re heading towards a break up, The young bucks are gone rn, Lucha bros are done, and we lost Big Bill and Ricky Starks as a tag team… I just don’t really know what they’re gonna do with this division. Now not to fully discredit them, they were able to build up Private Party (and The Outrunners a bit) which I didn’t mind, however what is going on with the rest of the division? FTR and House of Black are cold rn, and everyone else (Hurt Syndicate, Conglomeration, Bullet Club Gold, Death Riders, Undisputed Kingdom, Don callis Family, and The Learning Tree) seem to be just doing their own thing and nobody really seems focused on the actual tag team championships.

Honestly the beginning push for Switchblade Jay White gets an Up in my opinion. Honestly believe AEW and Tony Khan need to put the AEW World Championship on Switchblade Jay White, have Christian Cage cash in but fail because of HOOK interfering and Switchblade Jay White retaining by defeating Christian Cage via Bladerunner. This would make Switchblade Jay White the first man to ever win the AEW World Championship and defend it on the same night.

sometimes having an extended time away helps with the "pop" when they return. But yeah, having people show up like every two or three weeks is just kind of weird. If your "cast" is too large to accommodate everyone, maybe it's time to trim the bush and focus on better quality content rather than "who's gonna show up this week?" like back in the monday night wars, AEW should really just do it's own thing, which it does really well most times.

@tomseville2345Ай бұрын
*Second* divorce? It was their first...they were together IRL when Vince split them up on TV in 2015 (to amuse himself, apparently). Lana announcing the official 2016 engagement on her socials (thinking correctly that kayfabe was dead, and she could promote her real life outside of WWE TV) is what initially killed his push in WWE. Getting himself over later with "Rusev Day" was the nail in the coffin, and then Vince did it AGAIN by putting her with Bobby Lashley on TV, and having him feud with the two of them. And "five years"? They divorced last year, right after reuniting on AEW TV...

I scratch my head at people saying AEW is finished when 2024 was objectively far better than 2023. They restored the look, didn’t have Punk acting like a diva and did some of their best work. They put me in mind of WCW around 1992-93. Not the greatest, but building to something.

In terms of the venue issue with Aew, I think they should take an approach similar to that of NXT and TNA. Meaning have one location that's basically your home base that you do most of your tapings from and then do sporadic shows elsewhere mainly when it's coming up to a ppv. That way let's All In is coming up in a week's time, you can run a deal where you book let's say the O2 arena for Dynamite and then have the ppv at Wembley so the crowd who have paid to watch the ppv will also by proxy turn up to the regular show and you also do one right after the ppv to capture the same feeling. That way when they do go on the road it feels more special than now.
