As a delivery driver, the sad part is I see UPS and other delivery companies only NOW "changing" their delivery methods for their drivers, AFTER the fact! We complain to dispatch/superiors, they relay the message to corporate, and corporate (in their air conditioned offices) ALWAYS shut it down, because it would cost too much to install any kind of A/C in the back/front of the vans. They make us shut our vans off at every stop. I'm sorry my dear, but when it's 100 out, even having the doors open doesn't make a difference. Amazon especially, sees its drivers as replaceable pawns. Social media has its pros and cons and in this case, it's a blessing.

But thanks so much for thinking about other people and their struggles that you've never experienced in your precious little life, Ryan. It's been super hot where we live here in Alabama, as usual, but it's the humidity in our area that makes it so unbearable. Walk outside, and you're wet within seconds. I almost passed out cutting the grass the other day, so it's pretty bad, but it seems about like it is every summer, here. No better, no worse, at least not by how I'm personally experiencing it, I guess. I personally prefer spring and autumn. Not a summertime fan, except for the goin' swimmin' part lol.

I own and operate a lawn care service for 20 plus years in Minnesota. I remember around this time it was as hot and dry here as the Sierra Desert was being reported. No rain for weeks and nothing but consecutive day after day of excessive heat warnings. Breaking all types of records. All types of water bans throughout the summer on using sprinklers on your lawn. Darn near took me out of business. The last two summers in Minnesota have been the Hottest/Driest in my 20 plus year career doing this. It seems very odd and i’m hoping this year will be cooler than the last two. One thing i recommend if you work outside in heat other than the obvious things. Get yourself a battery operated fan around your neck. I can’t live without them at work. 10-20 dollar fan saves lives. I have 4-5 on rotation.
