In high rise buildings required more strenth of soil ,because of heavy load come on soil,if constructed on the soft soil,then bearing capacity of soft soil can not bear the load in that condition we required deep / mat foundation but has good starta available at reasonable depth its good and we aslo go for shallow foundation

I think we need to design earthquakes resistant buildings even if the first floor is below ground level n building is a high rise building bcz tectonic plates are way below the ground

Long buildings are collapsed in the earthquake there is multiple reasons like stata of soil and bending moment could be a reason. Short height buildings are resists to in thats why Long buildings are collapsed and Short buildings were resists in the earthquake. That's all I thought.
