He dictated the pace most of the time and he plays smart with his ball placement returns. He needs to improve his racket grip change , a lot of his bad returns are due to his late grip adjustment or prep. But hes a smart player , great drop shot execution and timing. WOW! Sorry for Carlos, he cant win all the time, But he did a great fight as always.

What I liked a lot about Fabian was how confident he was and he did not get carried away under pressure, even when he was down 1-4 in the tiebreak, he remained calm and won 6 points in a row to win the match and after he won, there wasn't an immense show of emotion. It was like, he was destined to win this match and he just knew it.

He said he had a dream last night that he won :) There was definitely some extra confidence and determination, this is not his normal level. Marozsan played so aggressively, standing inside the baseline in rallies and hitting flat and on the rise which took time away from Alcaraz. Standing closer into the court is why his dropshots were so deadly. His play style reminds me a lot of Aslan Karatsev, and the time when Karatsev beat Djokovic on clay.

Marozsan played very agressive and we could see in the Madrid final against Struff that you can make Alcaraz problems when you make him react. He doesnt like that. Easier said than done, but players who can defend the baseline and not step back have a better chance against Alcaraz. If you step back Alcaraz nearly always wins.

@@nerdybucky Even his loss vs Coric in the night rain with wet balls was promising. It was a deciding set match. When it came to rallies, Marozsan won distinctively more points than Coric. In the first half of the match he won 10/10 at the net and this did not worsen much by the end. Coric only won due to his escaping outstanding first serves at breakpoints and deuces. When first serves were returned or Coric had to give a second serve, he got in trouble -even without Marozsan hitting dropshots (he did not dare to do it many times due to the inconsistent wet balls). Everyone talking about how Marozsan used his drop shot effectively giving Alcaraz a taste of his own medicine is pretty much spot on but what I paid attention to was how the crowd was cheering loudly during Marozsan serve and the umpire barely said anything about it. That showed me that Marozsan came to play and the crowd wasn’t a factor at all to him. He executed his game with bare minimum hiccups. Well done sir, you deserved this win.

Maroszan is 23 years old. He is almost 4 years older than Carlos. He will be 24 later this year. He didn’t go the usual route of playing Junior Circuit. That’s why no one has seen his game. This is his first ATP main draw appearance. Can you believe that? He has only been playing the ITF circuit, playing Challengers. Just unbelievable.

If Marozsan can keep up this type of tennis, if this wasn't a once in a lifetime performance, then we are witnessing another Djokovic. His forehand motion, his sliding backhand, serve motion, dropshot precision, looks nearly identical to Djokovic. But as others have mentioned, we will see over time. All the tennis greats have been upset in stages of their careers. They're great because they bounce back even from a big upset. Let's see if Marozsan can snowball from this big victory today. Well done Fabian!

While watching this video, you wonder why this guy is in 123 place in the rating. He won the first set with such ease and in general played in this mast with such power and with such precision that it's just amazing. And the most interesting thing is that I thought that Alcaraz had no equal in the grid, but this guy from here surpassed him, it was just amazing to watch over this. Hopefully in the future this guy will be in the top 20 or top 10. Because looking at all this, he really has a good chance of it

This is professional sport, you need to be able to afford your team day by day. It is different if you have your hitting partner, trainers, physio, family in a 5 star hotel with you every tournament, or you travel alone in your car and stay in a hostel. Many of the lower rank players are just as talented as the top 50, but lacking sponsors... Marozsan buys his own rackets.. Alcaraz has a 10 million EUR budget to prepare for the same tournaments..
