It actually happened to me on June 30th 2014, I was standing up on my bike, pedaling while holding on with one hand, and the wheel shot sideways and I went over the bike and broke my wrist. I'm still recovering from the break, I'm building the muscle back.

Swaggy Tom There are many factors that could contribute to Bambu's arthritis such as it may have been passed down through genetics or from previous injuries ( from what i know i don't think he has had any injuries for his knees or legs) but as he is always jumping and running around its mostly likely due to wear and tear but for him it seems to be at a faster rate than normal as cats usually get arthritis when they are much older (10+). Luckily there are treatments such as medication, surgery, acupuncture and others but unfortunately their is no real cure for arthritis but most cases it can be managed successfully so that's its pain-free and the cat can still have its active life.

Yes it's upsetting when a beloved pet gets arthritis, but it could have been worse. He could have had a fluxating patella which is where the kneecap moves out of place completely. My cat didn't have either. He had fatty liver disease and was days away from passing away. By the grace of god, my dad was able to save him.

Artheritis is way worse than fluxating patella, surgery can help the patella but with arthritis it is always there and gets progressively worse and even spreads, med's can help but never fix the problem. They should contact the breeder and let them know to see if it is Hereditary and if his parents and siblings have any history of arthritis. Maybe the breeder might cover the costs or test for good knees and hips if they haven't in the past with there litters. :). Best of wishes to bamboo and hopefully he can walk with as little pain as possible and hopefully live a happy and exciting life 😗😉😀
