My first ever experience with survival horrors was Alone in the Dark for the Wii, and I feel comfortable with the more Noir-like approach in this game takes, but I feel it struggles a lot with the monotony of having to repeat most of the puzzles with both characters similarly to RE2 remake. The game is by no means bad tho, I'm happy that it went back to it's original lovecraftian roots.

The Question is Did Uwe Boll Ever play the game?? Or did he just look over someone’s shoulder and watch?? Because he definitely didn’t stay long.

The game is better than what I was expecting. It's just like an old Resident Evil game. Lots of puzzles and exploration with an intriguing story. Based on what I know about the original, it still lives up to it, but has some significant changes. The only down side for me is the gameplay. It's a little awkward and wonky. The melee combat especially reminds me of Silent Hill and Rule of Rose. However, it's not that bad and doesn't impact the game much. Visuals are high-end AA, runs very well, atmospheric, well-acted and a great time. 8/10 from this critic.

Take it up with him in the ring??, Challenge Accepted!! Between him and Paul W.S.Anderson movie adaptations of video games took a serious hit, if it wasn’t for Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros we wouldn’t have any today.

Soft agree on the uncanniness of seeing Hollywood actors in games - sometimes it really works for me (Death Stranding for one), but it was really offputting for me in Until Dawn for instance. Couldn't say what the difference is. Could just be graphical fidelity/mocap quality?

The only one I firmly got on board with was Sam Whitwer in Force Unleashed. And that's only because I think he's the only person who knows more about Star Wars than me.
