Good video. I'm new to the game (didn't play the original) But I 100% agree what this video said about sound (setting up the atmosphere) and being impressively immersive in the world and story.

I think your last 30 sec hit-the-nail-on-the-head. This will REALLY appeal to turn-based strategy gamers who want an XCOM with zombies. Many 1st person shooter & gen alpha console gamers will be bored before the end of the first mission...hence the mixed reviews on Steam. Oh yea and on sale on Steam now for $15

3:43 i strongly disagree, a game without good ending or useless ending are trash, the reason why famous why Resident evil series, silent hill , parasite eve, etc. are good is because of good story telling, if you gonna leave players like me cliff hanging after spending time finishing the game just to give you empty endings, i would really be mad and leave a critical review after it

I knew this was Dementium even from the thumbnail. Still have my pre order copy. I was worried at the time, that Australia would ban or recall it. Great game Never played the second or the remake.

This is like PT for the DS before PT was even a thing, one of those games that deserved a reboot or complete remake (other than remasters) It has so much potential even for a handheld game at that time, truly a Renegade Kid magnum opus

I remember playing this when I was like, 10 or so. Terrified me, but I kept coming back. I didn't really have any other horror games, so I found the experience to be refreshing at the time.

The Nameless Game is really good stuff too, play it with headphones, it's seriously creepy. Especially the train section.

this game is so addictive. it took me forever to beat the 3rd stage but i just beat it without breaking my combo, got the 22nd highest score on standard difficulty for that level. this game will have a lot of replay value, replaying levels while trying out different weapon combinations or just trying to beat your previous score and move up the list.

I grew up with this game in 2003 and play the undub version all the time here in 2024, and the original voice acting is excellent. It's up to Capcom to see a market and enough popularity in it to bring it back.

In their Other game, Legacy of the Beast, There's a story based dungeon where an avatar of Eddie (I don't know either) battles other avatars, and when he battles Edd Hunter, he says, and I quote; "Dude, Your not even a good maiden influenced game."

Not my Style of Game. It's apparently similar with the Outlast-Games, where you also probably can't fight back. So, it's not for me. I'll wait for Dragon Age: Veilguard 😊

What’s great about this game is that it is realistically priced. It’s a solid game which has more ups than downs but still has some downs. And it’s only £25. You get what you payed for, if this was £60 everyone would call it bad purely bc it was £60. This is what we need, realistically priced games that aren’t from greedy ‘AAAA’ (*hint hint* Ubisoft) company’s

Nice review. But comparing it to God of War as an all-timer story was a bit strange when it's a triple A game. This obviously won't have the same effect. This feels more in the line of Alien Isolation.

I will get it definitely, price is right plus I got the movies as well.

did you know you can turn of the phonometer i stopped using it and only used my flashlight or you can change it to just you hand

Why doesn’t the character grab door nobs when she opens a door? We can see her hands lol I hate when games do that

Did you play on hardest difficulty? Ive heard rumor that the hardest difficulty makes it seem more realistic in terms of sound to alien hearing quality

Lack of combat is a big turn off for this, even in the movie we saw a character fight the thing's bsck an she made it out, Plus the lack of enemy variety, even in the movies we got to see new variants of the creatures, so it would have been cool to see some new designs running around in the game. But that is probably why the game only costs $30 bucks.

I hope this plays well in UEVR!
