So you remove any area in walls where u ou have moisture and incur all the costs of replacement versus just drying it out somehow? The rest of the demo and drying out video would have been helpful

I had a leak in my kitchen, the restoration left a dehumidifier and air mover in my apt for 3 weeks now since I am since waiting on paperwork and approval. They said the dehumidifier has to be on due to the humidity. Is that true? The leak came down from the ceiling, water was about 30 gallons of water.

can dehumidifier dry a small part of wall? My washer had leak and the closet next to the laundry room got affected and moldy. It's mostly on the carpet floor where I had a wooden shoe cubicle. UGH! I got everything cleaned, shampooed with distilled vinegar.. hopefully i got it all, but wondering if dehumidifier will help?

Is it necessary to paint/prime dry wall behind kitchen cabinets to avoid mold?

Not really. The most important is no leaks or moisture if you don't have this you will be fine. If you do have a dew point, then yes, you must prime and paint with proper prevenative mold barrier.
