Another great video Streets, I'm becoming addicted to them and have started looking for similar videos of other areas I know. There's something so calming about strolling through these towns. Although much quieter than some of your others it gives a better chance of looking at the built environment, and of course there's always the occasional highlight which the high-resolution helps bring into focus. Nice one. Let's hope for a long spell of some good weather.

Lansdown looks cool now with all the big buildings. Roll on 5 years and itll look so different with all the planned zones.

Agreed fully. Bring on the redevelopment, much needed.

I avoid the town center, but I did have a fantastic walk between Boscombe Pier and Bournemouth Pier last week, it was honestly really enjoyable and relaxing. Was so nice to see people behaving properly, having a good time, and polite/courterse to each other. How ever, I at 50+ years old, now avoid the town center at night/evening, the youngster drink far too much and drugs seem to be in abudence. If the town had a small police station with regular beats of PC's, it would really help the town imho. As for all the shops being shut, Castlepoint has free parking and lots of shops, where as parking Bournemouth is difficult, expensive and not the best place to shop. I'm glad I live here beceause of the lovely seaside, but yet, in the last 5-6 years I have been here, its clearly fallen on hard times.

Thanks for the support 💪 when the sun is out it is very nice. the town is much like other seaside resorts. Some areas much nicer than others, Bournemouth is on the up now. A new police station was built about 5 years ago now, up at lansdown.

why most shop closed? is it because of the business rates tax or some other reason?
@thestreetsof6 ай бұрын
It was a Sunday, alot of shops closed on a Sunday so not so busy. Business rates are high, though, lots of leases expiring due to the 7 development zones across the town.

Never understood why in Britain we drive on the left and walk on the right. Pedestrians should always keep left for safety reasons.

I totally agree. It is also better for filming 🎥

We went to Bounemouth a year ago, and it has gone down hill fast... walking through the Gardens, youngsters thinks it's ok to play loud music.

What what a horrifying time you must have had, might as well as abandon the entire town. Loud music!!! How dare anyone be so disrespectful and uncouth. No other location on the planet would ever allow such dispare.

As one of the top holiday destinations in the UK and a student town I wouldn't expect anything else. This is not a little town, it is a seaside town, you must expect noise. We have beach pubs that broadcast music, the gardens is filled with musicians playing instruments and busking. This is a lively vibrant town.

@@thestreetsof Thing is, it didn't used to be a 'student town'. The Blairite saturation of these scholars for polys-pretending-to-be-universities augmenting the population by ever-increasing numbers has ensured that rubbish, drugs (and attendant gangs) and 'mutilculturally-precipitated' violence, are now the order of the day. It used to have a touch of class, the Riviera even, and west-end shops and delis you wouldn't see anywhere else in the region. It was civilised and yes, cosmopolitan without the need for any of the latter-day influx that are the standard prescription for our cities in these benighted times. Murders, as now seem to be routine, were things that happened elsewhere. Also, the celebs were real ones, not just overpaid Saints or Pompey footballers.
