Good tips on replacing those. I had a used 2005 tourist years ago. Currently running a 2018 Gear Up. One of the first things I did was replace those and the intake tubes going to the airbox when I bought the 05 used. I've seen Harley shovel heads and panheads run hot, the intake O-rings fail they overheat and it spirals down from there.

Your videos are extremely informative and look forward for the next one; you are doing a great job. I would like your opinion as to which years and models Ural made exceptional mechanical trouble free rigs? Thank you for your time.

Anything 2007 and newer, but really like 2007,2008,2009,2012,2016+

Great diagnosis Jon. One thing I noticed was that you were able to pull the engine without dropping the final drive and the swing arm. Great time saver. How do you do that??????

Remove the horn, support engine, pull mount bolts, slide engine forward with trans attached, then remove trans, then remove engine

So Jon, I have been thinking about this failure and I looked at my bike. Seems to be a different set up. So, am I correct that the EFI Gen 2 bikes don’t seem to have this susceptible for failure? Probably there are other failure mechanisms though. Always seems to even out in the end.

Hi Jon, I have zero compression on my 2023 ural 6500 Km, can you help me

Lean air mixture couldn't cause pushrod bearing siezure. It would rather overheat your piston and rings. You probably had oil distribution problem, like the oil path had been blocked to this bearing.

If the engine runs extremely lean, then it will build heat, and overheat causing failures. Everything is interconnected. Thanks for watching.

@@heindlengineeringmotorcycle You're right, but this case is different.

So the Ural engine are so sensitive it locks up cause of a small crack in the intake? Doubt it, the Ural pre D10 cranks are known to be crap…..

Any engine that is run extremely lean is prone to failure.
