I'm just going to leave a like and accept that this is mostly going over my head. Yes, understand the words and most of the terms and how they interact with each other. At the same time, I have nothing to add. 😊

I think it has to do with HCl protonating acetate thus altering equatorial ligands on uranyl cation

Can you show a TBP extraction of uranyl nitrate please?
@SimonsNuclearchemistry3 ай бұрын
@@MSteamCSM just finished filming the video today ;D
@MSteamCSM3 ай бұрын
@@SimonsNuclearchemistry it also be very nice if you show how to use extraction to separate U from other elements, like iron.
@SimonsNuclearchemistry2 ай бұрын
@@MSteamCSM can't really show that specifically. I'm recycling the Uranium with TBP from university waste. No one really knows what exactly is in there. There could be iron as an impurity and some organic ligands but its mostly Uranyl-Yellow ;D
@MSteamCSM2 ай бұрын
@@SimonsNuclearchemistry You can add some iron nitrate to it)) But probably it's too much work, especially if you already filmed it. Looking forward for that video.
