1.get one bowl which will measure exactly 1/2 kg of masala. it will save you a lot of time. you wont have to keep spooning 3-4 big spoons for every packet and measure every packet. im sure you will find one such bowl in ur kitchen itself. Use 1 such bowl for filling ur packets. if you are taking 5 mins for 1 packet right now using just one bowl will help you pack 5 packs in 5 mins. 2. As for the packets itself and the stickers- dont wait till you get orders, that you will get by Gods grace. At any point of time keep 1000 packets ready alongwith the stickers as backup. and everytime you get ingredients for 100 kg masala buy another 25 or 50 kgs ingredients separately and keep that prepared when you have 3-4 days spare time. that way you will always have min 25 kg masala ready to deliver. a little bit of planning will save you a lot of effort and time. 3. Rather every week make 25 to 30 kgs of masala. take a big cardboard box, write the date on that box and keep that particular batch in that box so that it is clear which box needs to be sold before or later date wise. e.g if you are making masala on 25th Dec 2024, write this date on that box and keep all the packets you packed on 25th Dec in that box. these kind of roasted masala easily lasts for more than 6 months. so 2-3 weeks is as good as fresh masala. if you keep this habit it will help you during the monsoon season. By May end you will have to have stock for 4 months of monsoon as you will not get any sunlight to dry your chilis. and even a little bit of moisture can destroy ur masala. so start the production chain from now on to be prepared for the monsoons. Also this kind of management will save you time, effort and will be far less tiring. 4. if you dont have space in your house or shop to store cardboard boxes, buy 6 large plastic containers with lid from IKEA. it should be big enough to hold 100 packets even if you have to keep the packets in 2 layers. keep them on wooden or plastic Pallets on your terrace and cover them with plastic tarpaulin (tadpatri). 5. another idea is to keep the sealed masala packets in Vaccum sealed bags. it will protect your packets as it becomes airtight. Say 1 vaccum sealed bag can accommodate 30 masala packets, you will need max 6 or 7 bags to pack 100 kgs of masala. you can further cover them in tadpatri for extra protection if you have to store it on the terrace. these ideas can help you to keep your masala's fresh and long lasting even if you have to sell after 3-4 months.
