I've owned a aftershokz headset before, it's a headset that provides a way to hear your surroundings while still hearing your music, podcasts, calls etc. Not great audio because it's not directly in your ears but at least it you have awareness of everything around you

I use bone conduction earbuds. The sensation of my ears being full triggers a vertigo disorder. I have aftershokz, and I agree it’s not in the same league as regular buds but glad I have an option

I have lost some hearing on my right ear. At the hearing lab they did use bone conduction to test my hearing and I heard everything louder.

I think aftershock ear bone (?) earphone is meant to use like cycling so you can hear outside environments while you can hear the music or people easily get ear infection from tight earphone
