I know I'm late to the party but thanks for your excellent detailed demonstration of the pouches features. My hobby is photography & I like looking at original ways to adapt non-camera bags for unobtrusive street shooting which led me to Helikon Tex & purchasing their Essential Kit Bag 2 weeks ago. So impressed with the quality I looked at their other products & focussed in on the Admin Pouch & your video. Didn't hesitate & it arrived today, just perfect. The key solution/use for me that I spotted was being able to Molle it to the back of Essential Kit Bag, thus allowing me to carry all the little tech essentials that support a day out shooting while keeping the profile minimal. Also got the Mini Med Pouch which can be swapped into the Admin Pouch in place of the removable wallet section allowing me to easier fit thicker items like batteries. This is an absolute killer solution for my needs especially as it's so comfortable to carry and naturally hugs close to my body. Subscribed and will need to work through your other Helikon Tex videos to see if I'm missing any practical add-on opportunities to what I now have. Cheers 👍

I have bought it just a couple of days ago. Two observations: first - any item longer than 10 cm fixed in the loops will make the insert almost impossible to close on velcro, second - when the organizational capacity of both the pouch and the insert are used fully, the whole thing becomes quite bulky and items don´t get pulled out easily. Despite that, it has been still a good buy for me.
@MoorlanderEDC3 жыл бұрын
Hi Carlenian. That's very true and something I forgot to mention in the content. You can either have the pouch full of stuff or the insert full of stuff. When they're both full it's very bulky and can be hard to close dependent on how full you make it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the insert to be sold separately. Thank you for commenting. This is an awesome review! I like the size of the pouch itself. Not too small, not to large. I've looked at this pouch when I was purchasing Sere pouch. The problem with pouches and bags of similar sort is that I think there isn't a universal one. Sere could have been slightly larger, just 1-2cm extra. The problem with a standard pouch is that it is not designed to carry with a short jacket. This is where Sere pouch comes in handy with the lower belt loop mount. In another words, you would need to have 2-3 pouches, depending on how you dress up. The admin pouch perfect for when not wearing a jacket, just a t-shirt or a shirt, but it may be less comfortable when sitting in a car. I hate to move all my things everytime from one pouch to another. For me, the admin pouch would be great if it has just one extra large pocket inside. I don't care about the insert here. Maybe one day I will give it a go with the Admin pouch. Sere pouch won't fit the mini med kit, unless I take my wallet out, but that's not an option. If only the Admin pouch had an extra carry system, i.e. with a shoulder strap, this way I could carry it on top of a jacker or overcoat. This would make the pouch suit my needs.
@MoorlanderEDC3 жыл бұрын
Have you watched my Leader and Admin pouch content from Tasmanian Tiger? They're similar but are landscape rather than portrait, and fit on a belt better with a short jacket as they're not as tall. They might be a good middle ground for you. Hope that helps

Jack, I 100% agree with you. For the extra pennies it would cost companies to add two D rings, it's crazy. I've got several pouches that I'd kill to have as a smaller shoulder bag to take with me. I want to make a suggestion. I got a roll of hook and loop/velcro from a friend who did computer network installation. They use it to bundle cables. 2cm wide with hook on 1 side and loop on the other and there's like 10 meters on a roll. It's very strong and versatile and you can use it over and over. Cut strips of whatever length you need. 3 strips of 25 cm together is also 60 and just as strong. For example, my binoculars/ steiner safari 10x26 pouch has a loop to attach it to your belt. But i don't want stuff on my belt cause i wear a backpack. And i don't want the binoculars hanging around my neck all day. Easy access yes please. I would use some strips of velcro to attach it to a shoulder strap. Google for: cable organiser Velcro. It's not really expensive but this might just be the solution you are looking for.
@MoorlanderEDC3 жыл бұрын
@@Mart687 hi Mart, love this idea my friend. I've seen smaller velcro ties, however not the larger ones. I'll Google and definitely think how I can use this in some content in the future 👍
@Mart6873 жыл бұрын
@@MoorlanderEDC These strips of velcro are probably as strong as the biggest tyraps rated for 25kg. This also works very well with my Tasmanian Tiger Modular 45+ backpack with velco loops all around on the inside. If i don't want the bino pouch on my shoulder strap of the backpack anymore because it starts raining or whatever, I can turn these velcro strips around with the hooks outside and stick the pouch inside anywhere on a side and put the rain cover on my pack. You can bundle stuff with it. You can attach stuff on the outside of your backpack with it. It's a very versatile product and re-use it over and over. I would say it's a product between tyraps and paracord. For hiking and camping and daily life very useful. 👍
