That’s a Mystery Ranch Urban Assault bag. It’s been modified with some swift clips placed on the shoulder straps then the chest rig is clipped in and secured with a back strap. In a SHTF moment this is actually a pretty sweet mod for a backpack.

I love backpacks, and this setup is sweet. You should cut to staps and sew it on the bag your phone is in so when you open that pouch, it won't fall all the way down.

Yep. Two positions minimum one flat so you can look down at a glance...and the other either Velcro or magnetic or retractable or a bungee ball pull release that keeps it up, but a one handed pull and it drops back to level...

Reminds me of how, while working at LBT (London Bridge Trading, Inc), there was a quick deploy plate carrier that DEVGRU down the road at Dam Neck conceptualized and we made involved simply turning around the "backpack", and unzipping a plate carrier. As simple and prac'tacticool' as that sounds, our R&D had all these prototypes and blueprints for a deployable plate carrier backpack; of course lbt never did anything without first consulting Navy, and what I'm about to discuss is about something wayyy derivative, but, school shootings got so bad that the same concept then applied towards children

You can pop the two upper clips and it flops down and holds to you. Then you have a free backpack to sling around and get inside. It's actually pretty fast.

Those aren’t placards from a plate carrier though, and aren’t centered around ammo magazines. Full Tang Tactical now makes one that is a true combination of the HPG Recon kit bag, and the Spiritus style mini chestrigs. FWIW, I own all 3 versions and they all excel at filling different niches.

Only gripe id have with this is the same as packs on plate carriers, you have to take your chest rig off if you want to get access to your pack if you have anything else in there. Either way, nice setup
