Absolutely loved this one, I only found this channel late last night. 😎 Loving the content, and really enjoy watching Mike, got such a great approach to life and angling, always picking litter up, much like myself. 🎣 Keep up the good work guys. ( new subscriber ) 😉

Fished there years ago in the winter short evening sessions use to prebait as i worked close and no one fished there often so i could slip bait in without poachers!!! Had some great results . Use to be easy fish to catch come summer also if you found them bites normally came quickly. Great to see some lakes are really starting to come into there own in wales now. Still preferring to travel to quite venues. For now!!! Well done that team
@BaitworksTV4 жыл бұрын
Cheers Chris, yes the place was unique and the fishery team have transformed it. Great to see and like you say when you fid them or they drift onto your bait the bites come quickly!

Certainly a unique environment, I think I'd struggle to settle on my own if night fishing, but I guess you'd get used to it after a while. Still, enjoyable video Mike, cool carp as well, big up to the wharf lads 👌🏻👍🏻

Cheers Chris, yes it takes a bit of getting used to but it was very safe and the anglers never get any issues, the sights certainly help pass the time mate I tell ya, especially the joggers lol!

The videos are great 👍 I’m progressing to carp fishing and I’m going to need a better set up at the moment I’ve been using a method feeder. I’m looking to upgrade to 2x rods and bite alarms to progress me in the hobby, and also I’m 17 and unfortunately I will be on a budget, and recommendations for entry level carp fishing equipment? Thanks for any responses :)

Hi Steve, Ebay is a great place to find some great second hand bits mate. I wouldn't be to worried about the kit all matching as long as the kits strong and safe then focus on finding them carp, stick to a rig and avoid chopping and changing. Then focus on finding the carp and presenting a bait to them. In terms of rods, Fox and wychwood do some great entry level rods as great prices. All the best and tight lines.

What a place the wharf is!!! Some proper bangers in their my friend is a current member and says it’s amazing , a wide range of awesome looking carp , definitely not the norm like a gravel pit , but still a quality piece of water .👍 great video as usual. # Other baits work “ but baitworks harder” !!!!

I'm sure it does, we seen the small fish being chased by either pike or perch!

Used to fish it in the 90s Even though its in the toughest part of the city the locals are nice but you do see some sights😂 Well done to the team that took it over as it is looking good now. Where has the big boat gone?

Do you know what Mark, we've spent 30 years fishing gravel pits, mostly quiet ones at that. The place on paper seems a headache but it surprised us, it was great fun and full of surprises. I idea of no mud in the winter was also a winner!
