The opening shot in your video is of the new monarch ore bin up above Leadville one of my favorite spots in the state and we're a little concerned about some of those timbers and the condition that they're in too and one of my friends is actually contacted the owners down in Texas of the ore bin to let them know that some of the outside beams are looking kind of rotted and unstable but other than that this is a great ore bin and one of the most scenic in Colorado

The drainage was put in by the EPA. Leadville is a Superfund Site due to all the acid mine drainage and toxic metals in the water. The water gets channeled to a central location where it is treated before release into the Arkansas River.

Good day, Love your videos and the exploring! The concrete water diversions may be installed as part of water diversion in an attempt to reduce infiltration from surface water through the tailings or mine waste, in order to reduce heavy metal runoff from the site? just a thought as to the environmental aspect, due to the more modern install of the concrete system.
