I had run into a character. Our encounter was one if those odd coincidences. this young guy from Florida was pan handling. I offered to pay him to help carry some water for me. About an hour earlier i had encountered a street busker with an accordian. These two encounters were somewhat related. The kid told me he was a cambion half demon. He even had 1 slitted eye and one normal, i didnt mention to him that i had noticed. (If youve ever seen this, you know what i mean. Some times you see people that look to have slitted eyes. you can barely see it, almost looks like glare or a reflection. This was like that but it was just the one.) He told me all people are chipped when they ate born. He mention a lot of strange stuff too. I think there's something to its story.
@PixiePrincess5013 жыл бұрын
The Thistledown Girl sounds like a good bit of mischief on the fairy's part. This wouldn't be the first time where a pretty fairy leads a curious person to strange parts of a park or the woods. As for the fairy taking the form of a homeless person, I'm pretty intrigued! In fairy tales a lot of fairies take the form of a beggar to test the heart of the protagonist and antagonist, in certain stories. Maybe this one took the form of a homeless man to test the respect of the narrator, and maybe if they did not treat him right, he wouldn't have given them that advice, which sounds like it could be useful to that person.
@morganbroglio85383 жыл бұрын
I love how most people in these stories are just so accepting of the fact that faeries exist and that they just encountered one. It seems very rarely are people terrified and flabbergasted like with other supernatural or paranormal entities. Perhaps everyone secretly hopes for the existence of faeries.
@DarnComputer3 жыл бұрын
The fae are something you have to be careful with because you never know what they want they may just be playing a trick on you showing off or trying to give you a gift such as advice like with the homeless person story. People don’t realize that if you use advice it’s the same as accepting a gift and you now owe them which is not a good thing most the time.

Another great offering. Thank you! Will say, the "homeless faerie" was something a bit more interesting: A spirit of the city, aka the Genius Loci. A manifestation of the essence of NYC, itself. And the submitter of the anecdote regarding the occult shop already did have it figured out. Yes, it's home to -- and a front for -- a Gateway. Thus why the owner is decidedly hands off. The shop is a convenient way to cover what would otherwise be awkward comings and goings. But, his only interest in and duty is to said gate. They may be Fae; it could be a trod. But, they're just as likely to be humans, extraterrestrials, elementals, daemons, and/or anything else you could possibly imagine - and probably some things you can't. 😊

.. I was working in manhattan trying to get some money together so i could hire a lawyer to help me with some overwhelming crissis i was in. I would crash at this warehouse that seemed rather safe up until the vampire troll. I noticed i was having little razor cuts on the bottom if my right foot. It was a different spot each night. A small cut in a different place, right in the clease lines. One time, i was exhausted, it was like 4 am. Im aboit to sleep( undernearth this cardboard) next to this garage door that was proped open a few inches. This is up on a landing up a little flight of stairs. I just got situated and as always was keen to keep my senses sharp. I heard nothing but i sensed something. I look to find a guy crouched at my feet with a razor knife out. I would have heard someone walking on the gravel or on the metal stairs but i heard nothing. I literally just lied down hidden under sone cardboard. I said WTF you doing, he said, he wanted to be where i was. Prior to this engagement i had 2 pigeons trying to warn me of the danger. They were sitting there in the spot as if to tell me. Another time a l feather was hoveing still then slowly floated away. Im pretty sure that guy was a vampire. I was determined to get about 7k so i stayed in that spot another time some time later. In the freesing winter at like 4am.. You figure you can sneak a wink in. Iwas waiting to like the sun come up so the vampire woukdnt trouble me. Wind started blowing and was lifting the cardboard straight up. I wasnt sleeping yet. I was waiting for the sun. When i pulled the cardboard down.. I heard someone yell. "F##!@!".. Vampire

Oh, that’s lovely. I’d give almost anything to have an encounter with them. If you would not mind, I would really love to hear more about the fae you’ve seen, like what were they wearing, were they solid or transparent, were they elvish, gnomish or something else, did they see and communicate with you? Otherwise, I would understand if you’d prefer not to share. I saw something in Michigan’s upper peninsula once that could possibly be considered fae, albeit they were at least 6 feet tall. I used to live up there and also in the Pacific NW. Unfortunately, now I live in a far less “magical” area.
@dragonearth96433 жыл бұрын
@@kathleen5296 sure, I'll tell you my first experience. It happened fairly quickly, but it happened. I was sitting outside of my house there's a hedge and a lot of trees in the area. As I was sitting outside I was trying to think of how to solve a problem I was dealing with at the time. I'm not too sure what happened, but I remembered seeing something walk down the footpath. It would at least meet up to my knee and wore a bright red hat it had that odd kipping motion and the very first thing I remembered at the time was I had thought to myself. "He's a happy little gnome." The next time I blinked he was gone. No, sign of it going down the road or taking a turn. It was just gone and after it was gone I was actually happy a strange turn of events for me for I was worrying about the problem I was facing.

Perhaps the cities are just so bustling and busy, we really just don't notice them as well as we would in calmer places... I saw something like the fairy coach a couple of years ago. I was in the cemetery by where I work. I have some friends I visit there, and it was right before Samhain, and the cemetery had gone oddly quiet. Many of the dead folk I visited there didn’t seem to be around. I didn’t understand it at the time, but they were in the process of being threshed. Someone had to explain it to me later. It was an intense year for turning over the dead, I am told. I don’t do that kind of work, so I just noticed that the dead were suddenly very quiet that year. So I was walking along, reading people’s names on their tombstones, when a small procession swam into view. They were half there? Like mist, or crystal. There were little men up front, marching, and they held tiny pole arms. There were a couple more types of people, I couldn’t make them out so well, and at the back, a very fancy and fine featured woman, carried in an ornate sedan chair. All of them were very slender and had an almost pressed look to them. The lady motioned for them to stop, and she addressed me. It was not English, but I understood her. She said it was a lovely day for some sport, and I said it had been for many days, and likely would for several days more. She said she wished I could come and watch, and it was a shame I had to work. It’s the strangest thing, I know she wasn’t talking about the job I was headed toward. I’m still not sure what she meant. I just said yeah, it is, and watched as they proceeded onward, shimmering out of focus as suddenly as they appeared. I’ve had a few weird encounters, so I wasn’t too surprised by it. That was one of the only times I’ve ever spotted a fae and it stopped to address me. Maybe the wee man in the fairy coach was just inviting that person to a party. Or to witness blood sport.

The wings were fluttering in fast motion I tried catching it but it flew over across to the next yard. I remember it had an outfit with what looked like to diamond print in gold and black. Very shiny material too. I thought I was seeing things but I'm sure it was a fairy.

The occult bookstore sounds like the beginnings of an amazing YA adventure. I definitely wished I knew the location. ~sighs~ The fairy coach sounds like a short story out of "The Faery Reel: Tales from the Twilight Realm". That book is fantastic and all of these urban experiences sound so....magical. It warms my heart to think we're still able to see beyond the daily grind and experience wonder in our mundane lives. It sounds as if you are writing off the personal story of another person as misidentification or they just called it fairies pretending.
