Can you do permaculture in an area that can be 0ºc (32ºf) in the morning, and 21ºc (68ºf) in the afternoon? What if growing days could see as much as 16 1/2 hours of sunlight in a day? These are some of the challenges of growing food in Calgary Alberta, and in this video you will learn how an urban farm can thrive in this climate!
In this video I interview Carmen and Christian from Urban Farm School. In this interview, we cover the high points of their property and classroom. On their property, they are demonstrating rainwater harvesting, no-till gardening, food forestry, rainwater harvesting, season extension and hail protection structures.
