Seems lile you would just drag (sh)it around, rather than move the barn. How'd it work out for you?

9:55.... breed meat rabbits.... minimum you reduce your grocery bill.... if done correctly you can profit in the process. I will start here myself when I have space to do so... Im in apparent currently and can not do this at all because management has inspections regularly and filter changes.... I need a partner to buy cheap high desert land degraded so I can raise them there and restore the land with the rabbits excrement.

Would it work to have a coil of garden hose in one water tank using a “siphon” method to transfer the water to the 2nd tank would the tanks continue to have the same levels as per your example “C” but without drilling the tanks?

i don't get the point of cutting the barrel and then finding ways to seal it; why don't we leave it as it is and fill it with gravel? and what's the point of filling with gravel if the water is directly coming out of the spring (already filtered by soil)?

This is good to hear, but can you expand on "properly harvested"? What is the best way to ensure the cleanest quality of stored rain barrel water? Also, do you have any info on the amount of micro-plastics that might be accumulating in plastic rain barrel water?

I've never seen an urbanist say they want to cram as many people into a space as possible. What they question is the amount of SFH zoning. And as someone that is into permaculture you should recognize that that is a pretty important concept. There's a huge difference between suggesting everyone should live in a shoe box for 4k a month like NYC vs saying there's too much SFH zoning which enforces car dependency. The best neighborhoods in urban areas are walkable and have mixed use buildings so that you can walk to corner coffee shops and bodegas. Modern City planning requires you to have a car every time you need a gallon of milk.. It's incredibly inefficient to me as car dependent as North America is. All I hear in this video is a guy that just doesn't like cities and probably isn't all that into the 3 permaculture ethics. And that's okay. But let's not use typical rural anti-urbanism language just because you personally don't like cities.

Whether or not the produce or leaves have bioaccumulated heavy metals, there are still benefits to this practice. Maybe, harvest rainwater from streets with the understanding that you should not eat produce grown in that system. There are still plenty of benefits to harvesting street runoff that have nothing to do with food - irrigate forest garden systems, increase soil organic matter with leaves from those trees, build healthy soil, AND recharge local aquifers. None of which happens if the water makes it way into the municipal water supply - at least without paying to get that water back. I would rather have a tree bioaccumulating heavy metal sequestering carbon out of the atmosphere using free water than not have a tree doing that.

This is also how they are geo engineering our weather. Chem trails, contrail, forest fires, anything that creates a blanket in our atmosphere keeps heat out just as well as it does keeping it in. Watch your weather patterns.
