On this episode, I hit the banks of Park Road Park in Charlotte, NC to try my luck at some bank fishing in this tiny urban oasis. It was cool to see that even amongst the urban sprawl, there was evidence of beaver activity...BIG time.

Good job. Not bad for a city pond. You can fish it all ya want, spent too much time working in the area to go fishing there. Traffic up there makes me crazy......or even more so than normal. Keep up the good vids.

I just was on foot yesterday checking out new huge pond I was granted access too. I saw bass bluegills from bank. Doing some side work for the people they gave me permission to fish it anytime! It's a massive spring fed pond, pretty clear water, lots of grass. Hidden on all sides by trees. Its perfect for yaking! The owners don't fish & no one else fishes it either. Lookin forward to taking the kayak see what's hiding in there. Looking at Google Earth pro it's been there before 1985, definitely well established could be some big bass? Plus it's has zero pressure!!!

@@E.B.f-m.Q.C. I've haven't even had my kayak back there yet I just walked bank little check it out. It's not on my property & you have go through these people's property to get to it other than through miles of woods. Unfortunately at the moment I don't have permission to invite anyone yet. They just gave me permission for myself. I'm sure that will change after I fish it few times though. Then I wouldn't have any problems telling you

Does the Dizzy Diamond float? They have a nice selection Bizz Baits at Hartwell Marine and I almost grabbed a pack of them, but couldn't tell if they suited my need.

lol I saw a video this morning that made me feel inspired to go fishing. This video was a real wake-up call. Every time I go fishing on Lake Norman or any of the ponds on the area I never catch anything. Went to the damn last year on my kayak. Nothing. I definitely won’t be going fishing this year haha I hate it. Catching nothing but these little tossers sucks! I know most people who go fishing don’t mind but I’d like to actually catch some food.

Unfortunately public waters have the benefit that you are free to use it, but there’s also the downside that EVERYONE can use it. I only fish public water…and there are still some big fish to be caught, but it’s certainly more difficult than a private pond. But seeing as though I don’t have access to private ponds, I’ll just have to go where I’m allowed. Haha.

Hey Josh, great video of a local pond! Noticed that the last few videos have been a month or two old, are you working on some current videos like late November or early December, would like to see what you do for winter fishing!

Eventually. I’m actually in the middle of moving and all of my gear is packed up. I actually haven’t been on the water since that QCKBF Catawba Clash video. Once I get settled you’ll see some more recent content.

Beavers are mean little guys! Have you came across any out on kayak? Thier mostly nocturnal so u would see them night fishing or early morning before sunrise. They splash their tail at you if you're in "their territory". There's a pair of beaver's that travel between my home lake 30 seconds up road & 2 of my neighbors ponds. Their always chasing them away so they end up back at the lake. They will end up scaring the shit out of me every once in while. I'll be fishing before sunrise, it's nice quiet & peaceful then next thing u know huge thud of a splash in your direction. Every once in while they actually get me wet. That said thier still cool to see.

You ain’t kidding. That tail slap has scared the crap out of me on a tranquil morning quite a few times.
