The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, founded in 1918 in response to the East St. Louis race riot, traces its roots to the National Urban League's establishment in 1910. Each year, the organization celebrates its anniversary with an Annual Dinner, showcasing accomplishments, honoring supporters, and raising funds for its programs.
As the largest Urban League affiliate and the first to earn a five-star rating, it serves over 200,000 people annually across Illinois and Missouri through 22 facilities and 60+ programs. Partnering with corporations, community leaders, and civic institutions, the League strengthens communities, advances equality, and addresses racial tensions.
