Can you help me with a little advice please? What can i use as lures (soft), for perch and pike, and to have results? I've tried keitech, quantum crawling jack, rage fox, savage gear etc., but a lot of time i can see the actual perch, and does not bite. Last week i saw a big one, 45cm+, and it just looked at my lure and did nothing, not even to run......I need an advice for the clear water if it is possible or for the water that it is not very coloured. Thank you in advance. P.S. You can recommend to me anything, as i have a salary and i will not have a problem in buying the stuff.

Those perch are a lot bigger than the ones here in the United States

I think it might be down to how we fish over here 90 percent of our anglers are catch and release only we have a saying (let them go let them grow) we only really eat salt water fish I reckon there will be some huge perch around the states somewhere but your waters are bass dominant aren't they so they probably eat them haha. Would love to come have a go at largemouth though deffo on my bucket list 😁

Have you tried the same white cray lure but with a cheb rig? Would like to see how that comes out. Been trying a few of the American styles but I don't think it helps if there isn't any fish! 😂

I don't use chebs that much but I have used it with Texas rigs. And works a treat man 😁

Good hook up ratio man I like big hooks. And for the big perch I'm on 30lb Major craft dangan and yeah I always run around a 7ft leader

Trying to getting into baitcasting and i am looking at the shimano SLX 151 dc realisticly 150 quid is my max amount i can afford, do you know if it will cast light of about 4 gms or is there somthing better you can suggest for the same mony P.S only ran into your vlogs by accedent but realy love your passion for fishhing youve got so much different typs of water around your area i just love watchin your vids. P.S bit tipsy took 24 minets to type lol

It will probably struggle casting that low mate. Usually people will be using more finesse tactics for that have a look at the Abu ALC bf7. Or Abu Revo bf8. Or if you can try find a Shimano scorpion bfs there amazing reels I have 3 of them and they can cast all the way down to 1.7g

Yeah you will want a finesse reel man. Bfs it's called I can recommend the Shimano scorpion bfs I have 3 of them and there amazing

I need some advice mate I been searching baitcaster I now have 150$ I normally ever float fished or ledger but been wanting a baitcaster rod now ,what 1 should I get is the wish website shit? Or should I just get the abu garcia set for 120$ also I need to know what wire I need to rig this reel with the baitcaster I was thinking of getting is this 1, Abu Garcia NEW Revo X Baitcast / Spincast Combo Blue - Rod & Reel - (Left Hand) But I think I need the right handed.

If your after a starter set up sure get the Abu combo but it's more for bass or pike then it is for perch I'd say man you want something 20g or less for most perch fishing. And yeah why the hell not mate I'd probably use about 30lb braid maybe a little less for or 6 - 10lb fluro

I'm an auld goat these days, an if I tried to clamber about the place these days there would be a loud wail of faaaaaaaaaack followed by a splash as I fell in.! Going rogue in the morning, worms instead of lures for a change in my quest for my first ever perch. Looking forward to the next film already. ✌ Peace.

Yeah man definitely just raw footage. But I do love the cinematics and broll i know people don't care too much about it but I do haha 😁. And yeah I do fish some pretty sketchy spots to be fair I have gone in a few times but luckily not from any substantial height yet but there will be a time and best of luck for you mate I think I'm gunna try get out in a few hours

Thannyou mate. And I don't mind when targeting them but i obviously target the bigger pike anyway. But Jack pike when perch fishing get annoying as then you gotta retie leaders etc haha it's a mess that's why I have been using 10lb as opposed to 6lb recently just been getting plagued by pike

Did you remove that pikes hook with him sat in the net? Great effort, need to learn how to do that as catching pike is what puts me off jigging because i hate going under the gill plate lol. Great vid mate

Yeah man the hook was just in the lip so forceps and a quick push and it's out just get some long forceps or pliers they will do fine mate. And I don't mind it I just hate dealing with little pike haha there annoying pike over 10lb is what I target

Started getting the hang of casting the bfs so might change to some x8 braid and give it go. Ps the accuracy test, tried a bit of this in the garden into a measuring jug took me about 20 goes at about 15ft. Looks like you could drop a lure in a shot glass @ 20ft?

Nice one mate and yeah it's up to you man im only using braid cuz I catch slot of fish on the bottom and on the opposite bank so don't wanna be setting into memory of fluro. And you will get it mate takes a while before you can put your lure exactly where your looking but it's a good feeling when you can. And I'd definitely give it a go haha

I'd suggest braid for beginners mate and for bfs I'd say stay below 12lb and for fluro no more then 6lb and I use Major craft dangan braid

How much and what tackle do you take on these trips?

I take one backpack and one rod I often take a lure box half cranks and half shads then about 10 packs of craws but I mainly just take packet lures out now days man as I only really use craws and creatures
