We decided to do some last minute urban car stealth camping tonight, and took our stealth camper van conversion / stealth camping minivan out to a lovely little spot next to the canal. We parked up for the night in the stealth camper van conversion but didn't expect it to be so noisy!
Info on my stealth camper van conversion / stealth camping van / stealth camping minivan : It's a Ford Grand Tourneo Connect (long wheel base), we removed the rear 2 seats so the car became a 5 seater, and I'm able to to transport the my boot jump camper conversion kit around while still retaining 5 seats all the time. I added privacy blinds and some basic curtains to turn it into a stealth camper van conversion which I use for urban stealth car camping whenever I can.
This DIY micro camper build is basically a homemade boot jump conversion kit, and I based it on the Amdro boot jump (which costs around £2500) - I built my own self build micro camper for fraction of the cost, so I could do urban car stealth camping.

Lol… Mrs MOTO’s face was a picture when you told her the pub was closed 🤣😳 I used to overnight mostly in residential areas, since it tended to cut out a lot of the negatives you’re experiencing. Not all though… bored taxi drivers with their radios on, drug dealing, drunks staggering home… My van was really stealthy, and I lost count of the number of times I heard someone trying the door, or shaking the van hoping to hear tools rattling around inside… That pasta looked really good 👍

Another spot by a canal you could try is down at Spike Island, Widnes. Take a walk around and look at the two Runcorn/Widnes bridges. Very popular with dog walker but can't say if doggers like it too!

Yep I always have a few non alcohol cans floating around just in case I fancy a beer and the police ever knock 😃We were having the winter discussion last night actually as we stealth camped in Liverpool city centre and it was noticeably colder than usual, so I am not sure how we'll fare in the winter. We have no heater in the car so we are thinking of things like hot water bottles or nalgene bottles (using the Jetboil to heat the water), extra layers with sleeping bags. But not sure how low the temperature would have to go before it becomes too uncomfortable. We are planning to carry on so I guess we'll find out! 😬😀
