you often hear it called a clay bar, mother's makes a decent one that I've used before, you'll be amazed the small crap and gunk that gets on your paint over time. mhm.

I for one kind of like these sorts of videos. While out of staters won't get the full value from it, I think it's a great way to feature local companies and let people know what kinds of great places there are in our wonderful commonwealth. (Just as long as it doesn't interfere too much with the regular reviews or become too much selly-outy)

that clay should not be used on any car. i know he said that it needs to be thrown out, but was it thrown out?
@ryefamily73309 жыл бұрын
+Apex Attitude glad you agree it should not be used on paint.

+Apex Attitude i use mine every wash on my car, so the paint remains fairly clean, so i can get 2 uses out of it or whatever, i can't even imagine using that bar he had on anyone's car.....not even my own
@Tommasta9 жыл бұрын
+Corkoth55 You should really only be claying a few times a year at most. Detailing is about touching the paint as little as possible, because everything done can hurt the paint. Some clear coats are marred by some fresh, clean microfibers. Clay is an abrasive, and absolutely mars many softer clear coats (My Subaru has this issue). Because of this, some people only clay if they're going to polish after.

Aaah the "Martelinho de Ouro" (aka golden hammer), removing small dents from car parts widouth damaging the paint work or changing the piece all togetter. The story goes like this, back in the early years VW from brazil had this huuuge car lot, and all cars had to sit in open sky, well that day had a hail very big and a lot of cars got damaged, soo in order to repair and minimize the costs from the damge (broken glass and mirrors) the managers called the best engeneers togetter with the best metalworkers from the factory to figure out how to repair the damage on the cars, after some time they figured out the technique, and after they gone from VW they passed the technique to other people.

Your writing for Road and Track is one of the most miserable, cringiest attempts at break-through automotive journalism I have ever had the misfortune of glancing at. Just...go try Jalopnik or something you're really bringing Road and Track down further and further.
