I'm glad dealer markups are illegal in Canada. Even then, dealers here manage to work BS fees into the sale. I was forced to buy a $580 "window etch and wheel lock" package with my new Mazda 6 months ago. So many people in the comments are saying they'll never buy a new car, but where I live it doesn't make sense to buy used. Used prices are insane (ex. $30,000 for a 2020 RAV-4 with 100,000 km on it), but also cars here rust out in as little as 5 years unless rust protection has been regularly and meticulously tended to, with very few making it past 10 years.

I’m still waiting for my warranties to get refunded been 6 months I want to fill a complaint just don’t know if it’s worth it. I personally contacted the warranty companies and started the process because dealer kept lying that they have started it. Dealers are liars and don’t care after the sale is closed. They are just holding my checks that I know they have and confirmed. Should be getting back like 3.5k but I think I might only receive 2 max. I will be writing a negative review on google.

It's debt. Everyone makes money off financing, everyone wants you to finance with them, to the point that they are so in the red with old stock they have to approve the absolute worst cases for loans on crazy terms just to stay afloat. Whole system is unsustainable for obvious reasons.

I would argue that the YJ is almost more like the Mustang II than a Foxbody. The Mustang II wasn’t loved new and has only recently found some reception. But no Mustang II means no Fox, no SN95 or anything afterwards. Placeholder cars can be argued as necessary, if enough time and subsequent generations pass by.
