This sad beautiful old farm house was built in the late 1800’s. The information I could find said it was constructed between 1870-1880. It would remain in the same family for over a century until the last owners passed away almost a decade ago. Then it went up for auction a year ago and was bought by developers. It still has some of the original antique furniture from when it was built. It’s been empty since the mid 2010’s, was able to find a newspaper from 2014. The final owners were an elderly couple, the man was a draftsman in the us army and the wife was a teacher. Unfortunately this houses days are numbered as a new housing development is being proposed in the spot and it will sadly most likely end up being torn down. Just being rezoned first. Glad to have documented this old home before it’s gone. One of the most incredible and beautiful old houses I’ve ever explored. Filled with original antiques. Just beautiful. Thanks for watching

What an incredible old farm house. And filled to the brim with the remnants of so many generations that called this their home. This time capsule so brings back memories of my youth. I’m 66 now but this is what happens as time marches on. Grew up in an older cape style home with our family of 8. As life moved on 1 by 1 Grandma, Auntie, Dad , all passed away and kids moved on with our lives it just left our beloved Momma behind. Things held together for a while but then Mom could no longer take care of her needs and moved to an assisted living facility. Slowly but surely the ravages of New England winters caught up with our old homestead. My brothers and I did what we could to salvage what we felt was important. Methodically room by room we gathered up as many remnants as we could. Though still left behind were so many items that we accumulate in life. We were able to sell the home and thankfully it was restored and sold to a young family who will now bring their own stories and memories to it. Thanks Kappy for recording the history of this beautiful home before sadly it’s erased for all time. Your passion and professionalism shows in all the places you visit. And your knowledge of the architecture for such a young man is exemplary. Hopefully some day you can find, buy and restore an older home of your dreams. Continued success with your channel and I look forward to each and every video you record. Though in closing I’ll say this one really struck a vein for me. God Bless and stay safe in your travels.

What a beautiful home. It still just boggles my mind that they can leave so many beautiful things behind and memories. Thousands of dollars in antiques and glassware. I do get it though. I have a brother that wants to leave Moms “like she left it”. He just doesn’t get it. Let it rot and fall in. Thanks goodness there are more of us and we will take care of her house. It won’t fall in. Thanks for the peek and I wish I could buy this as is. It would not deteriorate any further and she would be beautiful again.

Oddly, it looks like someone just got out of bed that morning. But I can't get over the vintage photos & why some family member wouldn't claim them. They deserve a better home. Sheesh... I don't know what's more heartbreaking: theft/vandalism or abandoned/unclaimed... For me abandoned/unclaimed is more heart breaking. Maybe it's because I don't know the story of the person: were they only ones left alive in their family? Were they themselves abandoned and forgotten? Were they loved or known by anyone; family, friends, acquaintances, etc? Or did they have a full life, lived simply, and moments and memories were the most important to them? I know it's just stuff, it's not what life is about, but it'd be nice to see someone somewhere enjoy these items, put them use, etc. Seeing this one just broke my heart.😢 💔 Thank you for sharing.❤

Wow. All those Victorian antiques! Those oil lamps alone are very valuable. The wood stove in the attic is a Victorian Parlour stove, very fancy and ornate as most furniture and decorations of the Victorian era are . I also find it profoundly sad to see family photos left behind. You always wonder if the family just died out and there isn't anyone left to claim the property. That roof is going to go soon and all that stuff will be lost. Thanks for the video.

I respect that you can explore these places and leave everything intact. I personally see a million little things that have so much value and would be so tempted! The kitchen/sun porch looks like it was a cheerful place at one time. The whole house is a testament to 3 centuries based on its belongings; the massive headboard to the flat screen TV, and every decade between those times. Pretty cool! Thx for this one!

And, background noise was loud in the kitchen and loudest standing in front of the refrigerator. I think the frig was running. It got quiet when he left the kitchen. Where to start, the photos, the antiques, the furniture, the books? That bed is in pristine condition, and deserves to be saved! The books are amazing, it looks like both the husband and wife were 'hands on' people. The oil lamps, pitchers & basins, and glassware are amazing! I don't know how long you were in that house, but I would have spent hours in there! How sad that the house is going to slowly decay, and take everything along with it. Besides all the beautiful antique furniture, there were many pieces of antique glassware, photos and frames. This home made me feel sad, because nobody did do anything to even board up the windows. OMG Kappy- LPPK at the 23.01 mark, just as you pan past the bird cage- I see a "spirit bird" fluttering back and forth inside the bird cage- I KID YOU NOT!

Sadly the house wasn't passed on to another family member..a real look into their lives. We can see at one time this house was a well cared for home. Thank you Kappy for another excellent video!!

All of the books. I would have been there for hours. And, the magnificent intricate detail of the mantels. This home was a dream. How could family just leave it?

Kappy OMGOSH!!! 🤯 The antiques left behind. The ceilings must have been lowered to the height of the 70s paneling. Must have been a family that has no living relatives. Did you notice the electricity running on the clock? Power??? Must be at least $100,000 worth of antiques left behind. Love LOVE this beautiful structure of a home. Thank you Kappy 🙏🙏🙏
