Sadly couldn’t find much information on this place other then that it was a large corn and other vegetable farm. It appears to have been left this way for quite some time unfortunately. Very glad to have been able to film this place when I did. *** Also for anyone wondering the other person talking is my madre. Brought her along as a late Mother’s Day present, since she really likes old houses and knows more about old things then me !
Other really cool Exploring Channel to check out- / @eastcoastabandoned6657

What an incredible house this must have been back in the day. I have to admit that every time I watch a video like this I want to weep. All that beautiful antique furniture just sitting there forgotten. How wonderful it would be to be able to save it so that future generations could see the beauty of it. Thank you for posting this wonderful. yet sad, video.

That consel radio is a Wilco. Also known as the magic eye. They were A.M. band. Tubes, magnificent sound quality. Circa 1940. Admiral refrigerators were top of the line. Some quality antiques in that house. Saw chairs (dining) that run $800.00 a piece in antique shops. Antiquers dream come true..

Urban Exploring With Kappy Holy Cow is for real!!! Kappy gotta hand it to you. You really find the most precious gems of the past. I just love your channel. Glad you brought your mom along for this one. She had to have really enjoyed seeing things from the past. Admiral existed in my lifetime. (50's) Made appliances and had a good name so to speak. Upstairs that might be an old radio not a juke box. I recall my great aunt having a huge one too. It was made of wood also. The hardware on the doors also age this house pretty far back. Maybe before 1900. Beautiful antiques that could be restored. Back then furniture was solid wood not like today and it was heavy. (I have a lot of antiques and cherish those family heirlooms. My double bed had loops to run the straps that held up a "mattress" usually filled with hay or horsehair. It's high off the floor because beds were warmer raised up. It also had poles to place a covered drape all around the bed to insulate the sleeping area and has a blanket roll at end of bed to easily slide a blanket up.) The mirrored "dresser" upstairs was a wardrobe piece of furniture 'cause closets weren't built until later. You hung up your clothes inside. The washer, probably 40's, wrung out your clothes as dry as you were gonna get until you hung them out to dry. My great aunt always warned me to keep my hands away from the wringers. That barn was awesome too. Like standing history books! Slate roof was more often the case back then if you could afford it. Very little upkeep but heavy. Took a sturdily built house to roof. I noticed some Avon boxes from about the 70's stacked somewhere. What a tragedy no one wants to save some items, hardware, etc. or auction the contents. Still curious about the contents of the upstairs trunk. This is truly a find and a marvelous time capsule. Hats off to you again!!!!

Kappy, I Googled M68 ammo and found it's 105mm rounds for a British tank gun! Seems it can be removed from the turret without dismantling it---but I doubt you could fire it from the hip, like "Ahnold" fired the mini-gun in "Terminator 2" (though it wouldn't surprise me, since Hollywood's motto is "My mind is made up, don't confuse me with facts.")

@erichelvie8524

The Ammo crates could be "Nam" era. As mentioned in a previous comment, this is a tank gun ammo case. However the M-68 gun is the American version of the British L-7. It was first mounted in the M-60 series tanks which came online in 1961. In the Mid70s the gun was also used to upgrade the M48 Patton tank to the M48A5 .The gun was later used in the earliest version of the M1 Abrams. The APDS on the box stands for Armor Piercing Discarding Sabot. US ceased using this type of round in the early 80s.

I have always wanted to do what you do, but no one wanted to go with me. Of course I wouldn't go by myself since I'm older because I have retrictions on stuff that I'm able to do, that is why I thank you for sharing your explores!! Such a AWESOME find Kappy, thanks!! P.S. I bet if you plug in that Admiral it'll run.In the 40ies/early 50ies refrigerators(and cars)were predominantly American,as well as in Holland(I'm Dutch)as in Indonesia(our former colony). They would like run forever. We still use a 1948 Frigidaire,3 years ago the Meter-Miser finally gave out so we replaced it with a 1/4 hp Panasonic, because here in Indonesia one can't buy American fridges anymore, all Japanese(very expensive)or local/Chinese(junk). All of those great old marques are gone now.Cars too.Holden(GM Australia)closed too.Finished.

What a sweet place. I love your videos, how they are quiet and peaceful. You find these incredible, untouched time capsules. If you have permission, and these places are going to be torn down, have you thought about hauling some things out? I know abandoned explorers leave things alone, but your places are very different. It seems most are headed to tear down.

This is one of your best finds! My heart breaks when I watch these videos, but I'm also excited because this has been an obsession since I was a little girl. I know you don't touch things or open drawers or anything like that, but sometimes I wish you would because you might find some clues as to who use to live there. Also I wish you would open doors in the houses because usually behind those doors are other rooms. I feel you are missing out. Old houses always have rooms next to rooms that can only be gotten into by a room and not a hallway. I'm so jealous of the explores you go on and thanks for letting us hear a little of whoever is with you. I'd like to hear more. LOVED this video!

I would also like to comment, before the banks or however in your country knocks down old houses, could they please at least try to recycle whatever can be recycled..??Or take really good antiques, to a museum, or gallery...etc. It seems such a waste. I have seen so many beautiful old doors. My home was built in the 80s and the doors and windows are really trashy. I have an old Admiral fridge that is over 30 years old and still works.!!!

All of that furniture looks like back in the late 1930's. I was born in 1947 & we had that furniture. My mother also had a wringer washer, yet I was using one in the 1970's. We had old door knobs like those with the metal square box behind it, with the flip lock on top of it (whatever they're called). As for the stove, when I was a little girl my Grandmother cooked on one of those. Great find! Reminds me of the 40's.

Some of these buildings are owned by the state from taxes. This one looks like it belonged to a hoarder because of so much "trash" around inside. If the person had no relatives or tied up in court it could have remained in limbo. If you want to check on ownership go to your local library and check the "plot maps" for your area. Those books will tell you who owns it. Take that information to the county building in some counties online and you can get the name/address of the owners. Tax and ownership records are public so easy to obtain.

Marcel Audubon exactly! No hoarder house. People say that about these old houses all of the time and I’m sure it was the vandals getting to it a long time ago. They also sometimes look like the family used it for storage after the main occupants passed and then they moved on or passed themselves”.

Mark Linder that makes sense. The calendar from 1969. I agree with Kappy I think it was left empty since then. That is probably when the lady went into the nursing home. I don’t know how it goes around there but where I live if you go into a nursing home and you have not already passed ownership of your property to someone else then the nursing home has dibs on it and it can’t be sold or passed on to other family members. I’m not sure what happens after the owner dies though.

This is an absolute awesome video!! I can’t, for the life of me, comprehend why houses are just left after a person passes away. Aside from the people who unfortunately don’t have any family left, why don’t the remaining next of kin claim these abandoned homes?? It just makes me think...🤘🏼✌🏼

Virginia Conway yes I understand that there are relatives that “just can’t be bothered with some old house stuck in the middle of no-where” but I can’t help but to think that there is always a way to do something properly, like a donation to charity...anything besides just letting something sit and rot away because just letting it right away it’s bizarre just pure laziness in my eyes.

Admiral is a company that made different appliances such as the refrigerator, radio's, TV's, etc. The old wood cook stove is a rare find of that size and ones like this one can date back to the early 1800's. The old Domestic is a treadle sewing machine ( to make it go you have to pump the foot peddles. That was not a dresser, it is an Ar-moire. Did you see the Cobbler's shoe stand in the barn?

My granny had a iron kitchen stove almost identical to that one! I remember when I was a young kid her cooking breakfast and baking biscuits with it. She had to build a fire in it in order to cook. My mother said that as a child she had to bring wood in every evening for the pot bellied stove in the front room and the one in the kitchen. Great memories.....

I learned to sew on a treadle like that. I didn't put a lot of care into what I made as I was ticked I wasn't entitled to an electric. I'd sew simple shift dresses popular in the 60's & my mom said she was always surprised when a dress came home from school with me in one piece & not ripped out, hehe.

My mom's grandmother had a trunk just like that one and my mom still has it! Her grandmother died back in 1975 and when my mother's parents died we cleaned out both houses, there were 3 of those old Singer sewing machines you pumped with your foot and the house her grandmother lived in had a Kenmore cook stove in it, a player piano, and the house had tin ceilings throughout and we found my great grandfather's WW1 Army uniform and a rifle! My great grandfather worked on the old steam engine for the Jennings Brothers Railroad company that hauled logs and mining equipment for the local area of Frostburg and Grantsville Maryland and Salisbury Pennsylvania but back then it was known as Elk Lick PA. We also have the cook stove in my dad's basement, it is in excellent condition!

Admiral refrigerator was very popular in the 40s and 50s. The wood cook stove in the kitchen is from the 1800s. Washer is 40s and 50s. Most of the items if they were cleaned up to original glory would be worth quit a bit of money, we're talking thousands of dollars. Great find.

We have vast numbers of old homes, farms, etc where I live. If anyone wants to give me an address or something, even just one that's close, I have time and some experience searching who owns or had owned properties. It's not hugely difficult, but like I said, I have time and love researching this sort of thing. I hate seeing old properties wasting away. For those that wonder, families will pass their properties down to relatives but they don't give a crap about them. The younger generation just doesn't appreciate old things. That's why there are so many great things just left to rot away in them.

50 years of abandonment. Wow. This place is slowly disappearing into the ground. I always wonder why the furniture, books, etc. in these places is often in a jumble, as though someone had come in and just thrown things around. Do you find that these houses appear to have been ransacked over and over again?

Some of the mess and things strewn on the floor is raccoons I think, and birds making nests pick at stuff, too. That home doesn't look to have been vandalized at all--the mirrors were all intact, windows weren't randomly broken out, no graffiti. But I suspect there were squatters at some point in the last 10-15 years, who left everything even messier than before.

That judebox at the top of the stairs is actually one of the earliest incarnations of the family radio. It came in a big box like that because until 1940s most people in rural areas had no electricity so an interchangable battery sat in the box below the radio. It was taken out and charged each day by being placed in a car or truck. Most farms had a truck. Familes sat around like they did TV's in the fifties for family hour. Men got farm reports in the morning and housekeeping and soaps we're popular while women cleaned. The kids got after school adventures. It's upstairs because the TV replaced it downstairs. Radio lost out as advertisers went to tv. Radio used to be a huge deal in the 20s and 30s.

105mm Howitzer is a field artillery gun for the US Army put in service in WW2. Designed after a German gun captured in WW1 there were a few made before 1941 but they didn’t go into production until then. They replaced a 75mm gun. That big box you found only held two rounds just to give you an idea of the size. They made a lot of them and many are still in service all over the world. It’s called an “avalanche gun” in Canada as they use it to trigger avalanches near train tracks, roads and recreational areas so the snow doesn’t fall unexpectedly. I recognized several military items in this place, cabinets, fan, ammo boxes that were still in use in the 1980’s. I’m sure a military man lived here.

My great aunt's (second generation Boston Irish) were in the habit of calling the refrigerator "The Fridgidaire". I did a Google search on that term and found mention of people in various countries who used it. Brands seem to become part of the language by accident; my mother used to call any radio-phonograph a "Magnavox", the term "Walkman" it still used and of course, the English like to call all vacuum cleaners Hoovers and refer to vacuuming as "Hoovering".
