I very seldom comment on any videos but I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy watching yours. I don't have to worry about my grandchildren walking in my room and hearing foul language. You're very respectful and non-judgemental even when it's obvious as to how the people in the different houses were living. You're careful with the items that are there eventhough the wrecking ball may be coming tomorrow. You're parents must be very proud of the man that you've become. The only problem that I have with all of your videos is the lack of volume. It's hard to hear you sometimes and I have my volume up as high as it will go. One more thing that I love about your filming is the fact that you hold the camera steady and you don't pan the rooms too fast. I've suffered with motion sickness my entire life but I have no problem while watching yours. Thank you for my many hours of enjoyment. You're doing a great job!! God bless!!

I was loving it, until I saw the walker, then I got sad. So many cool finds in there. Seriously good that I'm not an explorer. I would back my truck up for the clock & sewing machine. I know it's wrong, but there is no one coming back for it. I hate waste. Great video. Always enjoy your videos.

Probably an older person that was ill, went to a hospital and never made it home. Sad families don't take care of each other anymore.
@zr71offroad20
@zr71offroad20 6 жыл бұрын
In my perspective families do care for each other, but when it comes to an estate sometimes it is difficult. Due to the cost of the upkeeping property and the amount of items left behind. Most families in many cases will take what is most valuable such and photos, personal items, and cars. Then leave the rest as the cost is to much to remove.

We had one of those sinks in my childhood home. Many, many dishes washed in that sink. I feel that house has a lot of stories to tell. Were they collectors, almost hoarders, or was someone using the place for storage? And built into the hill. The moisture must have always been a problem. So many questions? Thanks once again for a terrific unique video!

Susan Miller ...I have the same impressions as you! Grew up with that type of sink, wondered about hoarding or possible storing stuff, etc. You read my mind, Ha, ha. I've seen homes with similar characteristics, here in Ohio.

Just wanted to express how much I enjoy your videos. I too am a fan of old houses, architecture and design. So many of the things featured in your videos are already in the past. I wish more people appreciated the craftsmanship that went into the construction of those houses. You've heard it said that "they don't make them like that anymore?", it's because they don't. Houses of today are poorly constructed cookie cutter versions of every other house in the neighborhood. Thank you for for preserving, at least on video, the details of these grand old houses in their sunset years.

Hello Kappy ! Seeing the walker, I'm guessing an older person lived there, maybe started to renovate but maybe ended up dying. Lots of antiques left behind, worth money .I saw a calendar that said 2003 of November. Seems like that may have been the last time anyone lived there.

Wow, how do you not bump your head on this ceiling, Kappy? I'm nearly as tall as you and I would always feel like I had to duck or else! It's a shame that this house is so jumbled. Surely no one could live in all that, so it must be vandals or the last occupants family looking for their valuables. Either that or, like me, she's just looking for that lost remote control! HA! The rooms upstairs tell the story of a little lady living here alone. I caught a glimpse of her black handmade shawl hanging just beside the first room to the left. How sad and probably angry she would have been to see her little house in such a state! That buried spindle bed is so beautiful! This house must have been lovely when it wasn't all jumbled by people who don't respect others or their belongings. I'm so glad you do, Kappy! Thanks for being a man of integrity and honor.

Looks like this was an elderly person's home that may have tried to help support themselves buying and selling antiques. I know we have some older couples around here that do just that. It helps pay the bills. They go to auctions and estate sales to buy stuff cheap and then resell out of their home. I don't think this was a "hoarders" house since it was mainly antiques and furniture left behind. Great video btw!

That one room with the hole in the floor made me think of the one in my grandmother's old camp in Wardsboro Vermont.. except it didn't have a hole in the floor just saw a bubble in the ceiling.. it was pretty run down by the time she died.. the neighbors bought it from my uncle and they burned it down.. it had no electricity or running water, the water source was a hand pump and the stove was cast iron.. and the refrigerator ran on kerosene, my uncle would constantly fix it until it broke down it was full of food... but I don't know what happened to all of that stuff after... there is so much junk there, I am going to take an old washing machine.. the old ringer washer base and turn it into something.. the neighbors would like to have the land cleaned a little
