Celsius to Fahrenheit conversions are actually kind of fun--at least to a geek like me who appreciates that the conversions every five or ten degrees are exact rather than fractional. And there are a couple of easily remembered conversions as well: 10°C is 50°F, and 35°C is 95°F. One Celsius degree equals 1.8 degrees in Fahrenheit, so for every ten degree Celsius movement, you're moving 18 degrees Fahrenheit (or five equaling nine), and 0°C is 32°F, so here's a simple conversion chart: 0°C=32°F 5°C=41°F 10°C=50°F 15°C=59°F 20°C=68°F 25°C=77°F 30°C=86°F 35°C=95°F 40°C=104°F 45°C=113°F (important if you've ever listened to Midnight Oil's "Beds Are Burning") 50°C=122°F

I know of someone who took a cold shower after an intense workout and he immediately suffered a stroke after his feet came in contact with the cold water due to sudden change in body temperature. Be cautious by letting your body cool down for a few minutes before having that cold blast of water.

Thanks for the good tips. I live in North Florida and with the humidity it gets stupid hot here. I'll work right through the rain since it rains here almost every afternoon. I've been very fortunate recently as I have met up with a old friend who is now an excutive chef of 2 restaurants and he is buying everything I can grow and I just wanted to sincerely say thank you for helping me get this started and it's finally all coming together. My dream of growing and selling produce as well as eating much healthier has now come into fruition. I still have lots of work to do. Hopefully soon I will have the coolbot and a walk-in which is much needed. Thank you again Curtis.

***** Important ***** as a trained fire fighter I must point out how important it is to replace electrolytes. Usually this would be 2 bottles water to 1 bottle electrolyte every hour or so. If you drink water only you will most likely end up in hospital, if someone finds you past out in your farm. Otherwise things are going to be bad.

Important stuff. Dehydration is no joke. One, it's just damn hard to recover from and can lay you out for several days. But also--to add to your point about making mistakes/slippage--there are a couple recent studies showing that heat induced dehydration can negatively impact one's decision making in big ways--not a good thing around tractors, even small one's.

Leave your clothes on when you take a cold shower. The evaporating water acts like air conditioning. A little known trick for bikers (motorcycle riders) is to wear a wet sweat shirt under your leathers. Most leathers have vents, and with the vents open you can keep cool for a couple of hours.

When you shower with cold water, body starts to protect organs agains cold and produce heat using sugars and energy - this will lead to overheating your body, when you eventually go to a hot place right after. I would recoment exactly oposite thing on hot summer day, drink warm tea or coffee and shower with warm water - you will not enjoy it at first like cold one, but you will feel much better after :) Have a nice day

+lightdark00 radiation damage is radiation damage. doesn't matter how methodically it happens. I can guarantee if you live anywhere even 'kinda' in proximity to the equator, and you're a white person like myself, you look older than you would if you are a white European who's lived there their whole life.. the sun is very different on different parts of the planet and is pretty harsh on Caucasian skin which evolved from northern Europe.
@lightdark006 жыл бұрын
Ryan Duckering I have always looked way younger than I was. If I happen to catch up from feeling vibrant and full of sexual energy from the sun, so be it. I eat right, so I should be repairing damage, instead of waiting to die. There is a method to acclimate yourself to hot temperatures and to the sun and most any genetic European should be able to it. My eyes even started out as blue. Sure we have limited genetic data compared to plants, but learning your own body is probably the key to handling what our genetics have not been used to.

Light weight large brim SUN HAT, vented top, mesh is best. Almost all ballcaps actually makes you warmer! For clothing, NO COTTON whatsoever anywhere on your body including underwear and socks. Learn something from extreme athletes [me!]. Clothing can be all UV protected [though somewhat expensive] but all should be very lightweight, covering is good, light colors obviously. IF you profusely sweat OR sweat a LOT throughout the day, plenty of water is only HALF the solution - you NEED salty snacks [throughout the whole day!] which replenishes electrolytes and gives you MUCH more energy. [Btw, routinely depleting and not adequately restoring electrolyte levels WILL eventually catch up to you and help create various blood disorders later in life.]

Three things to add. Wear a damp cotton T-shirt. As the heat dries it out, rewet it. 2) Freeze water in plastic bottles. Drink the cold water as it melts. Drinking cold water is better than warm because it cools you from the inside and it's more palatable. 3) wide brimmed straw hats.

But yes, definitely stay hydrated !

Not at all. In fact, I know a few personally. I'm not sure what you're talking about being transphobic or where that statement is coming from. I assume that you think Jordan Peterson is transphobic, which is incorrect. However, it's not my job to defend Peterson or his positions. He is his own person and so am I. I can only speak for myself. I have never once made a comment about trans people or any other group for that matter. That is not the subject of my content nor is it my personal intention to do so. I'm glad that your aim is to create content for everyone, but you're prominently sporting a shirt that has Peterson saying he's "not going to do it". Another Peterson supporter pointed out that it refers to his refusal to use his student's appropriate pronouns because he (incorrectly) percieves a state mandate to do so.
