I am norwegian and I have to say, every time the Swede talks norewgian it is just flawless! It souds a bit "old timer" like if my grandfather speaks norwegian, witch is fitting. I wondered if he was norwegian or american. Great actor, great work! And the accent is just like an old norwegian man speaking english!

I guess there are regional differences because my ex-girlfriend from an island near Stavanger doesn't have the same accent as this guy in the show. Either that, or my ex is intentionally hiding the Norway in her speech.

@@orionion Yes, we do have different dialects in different regions and he does NOT sound like anyone from Stavanger, that much is very true. Second, most people try not to speak with an accent I believe;)

+Kris Kross I seen him on supernatural, as a demon that the winchesters had to torture. The comment of Jensen Ackles speaks for itself. When they were acting, he felt he was completely OUT ACTED by Christopher Heyerdahl. "He was praised by his former Supernatural (2005) co-star, Jensen Ackles, at the LA Supernatural Convention in 2011. Ackles says that during the torture scene of Christopher's character "Alastair", Ackles was thinking "Wow, I'm totally being out-acted here", after that Ackles turns to the audience and asks them "I mean, wasn't he good?" The audience replies with massive applause." I agree tho, i seen most of his work i do hope he will get LOTS more to do after Hell on Wheels. He is a fantastic actor and i think he will not be out of work anytime soon!

Id imagine an actor would die to get a roll like the one this guy landed with the swede. He literally gets to play many different roles in one show just because the character is the way he is. I remember first seeing him go from the swede to a mormon and my god it was good. Him and Anson are truly incredible actors. Favorite show ever.

Yes, quite amazing with his Norwegian accent,. and yes norwegian is my mother tongue, so I should know. I think for most people around it is easier to say Swede/Swedish than Norwegian, it kind of flows more. At least today thats the one of the reason for the mix up,. Anyway,. a very good actor,.

Christopher is one of my favourite actors. He’s great. I love how he talks. Firstly knew him as Sam in Van Helsing, both his characters in The Sanctuary. Alister in Supernatural, and Marcus in Twilight. Hell on Wheels is on my to watch list.

Accents - really tough to nail them 100%. In the case of this character, I could not tell you if he was Finnish, Norwegian or Swedish, but since I am not as familiar with other accents as say British, American & Canadian, it does not affect my enjoyment of the character that he creates - I can't wait for his scenes, they leave me wanting more! Give this guy an award already!
