Wow what a comment, literally lost for words thank you so much, at the end of the day we are just us, but if we can make one person smile in a day or help someone then it’s been a good day, something our parents told us growing up and it’s stuck with us so this comment means the world ♥️♥️

I live in Co Kerry Ireland. I have had a knock on the van during the night. Very violent knocks! Had baby’s sleeping in the van too. It was very scary. But they ran for there life’s when I came out with a hammer screaming running after them 😂

Hello Emma here, So sorry you had this experience and can not begin to imagine how you felt, it must of been terrifying especially with having your babies with you!! As I said in the stream we know it does happen and it’s genuine people like you who actually have had these nasty experiences we feel for, not people faking it to get more views or likes on a social media platforms, no one should feel unsafe in their own environment, but you are braver than me scaring them off they way you did, I at least have a Neil for that!! Massive hugs to you ♥️♥️

Don't give a poop about what others think or say, once you've experienced van life you will find it's less of stress and more actually living life not just existing. Fast becoming one of, if not favorite channels on the ol YT. Emma you did a fab job on the editing. The wife and I burn a stick of incense every now and again should the "smells" become a bit overwhelming. Enjoy the travels and have loads of fun.

Glad you’re both enjoying it. I spent a couple of months in 2022, in Ireland. Can confirm that getting rid of rubbish is a nightmare. I’ve never seen lids on street side bins before. There’s an opening, just big enough to take a McDonalds coffee mug. Luckily, it’s also big enough to take a doggie poo bag. Odd that. I don’t own a dog 😬. A bottle for ‘tother stuff. Loved Eire, not so sure about the north. BUT, I did take the van around the NorthWest 200 circuit. Although I did go the right way around roundabouts. Keep to 30mph. How them lads can go at 200+ mph ? I need to pick a bone to pick with you. Where’s your Trotter sticker? Looked forever at the view from your back doors. Even freeze framed it. Nothing, nowt, nix.

Thank you so much, we’ve had vans of some description for over 10 years and also been all over and we are the same, never had the knock, not saying that it hasn’t happened to some people out their and people haven’t had negative experiences but there’s a lot of misinformation out there on line and it does worry some people, especially for some solo travellers or younger/older people who might feel more vulnerable. @MotorHomeBeepBeep There’s always an initial worry as in it’s a change from what you are used to and as a rule we are not good with change, we like what we know and it’s not easy changing so rapidly as we did but you learn to adjust and overcome obstacles quickly, we have started thinking very differently about things and viewing things in different ways which is making us grow as a couple in a positive way! And yes there are bad days, rainy days, etc but you also have bad days in a house, so for us it’s better to have those bad days with a view or together in our own little bubble. And at first things are intensified as you are in a much smaller place, but as long as you know you have a plan for any issues that may arise then you are golden.

You took the leap and good on you both. Love watching you guys as we are scousers overseas. But what I will say is home owners (landlords) absorb the main costs of a house. Such as on going maintenance, repairs, building insurance, tenant/rent insurance and depending on where you live squatters insurance. I do get as tenants you have huge and climbing expenses so van life is a great option. An option we are considering so watching your channel with interest. Good luck guys we wish you both the best and have fun on your travels 😊

Thank you so much and yes we totally understand most home owners/landlords absorb the costs unfortunately our landlord wasn’t willing to do any of the repairs and we had been in an ongoing situation with him for well over 5/6 years over the repairs and them not getting done, and us getting ill as a by product but it has turned into a positive outcome for us and he will sell the property on as it is up for sale now and we are sure whoever gets it will make it into a fabulous home like it once was before ♥️

Great life on the road. Neil you need a T-shirt and print a seat belt on it. That will stop some people winghing you don't have your seat belt on lol. We never had seat belt in the 1970s - 1980s - but back then it was a push to get a car to do a 100 mph.

Wow!!!. What an amazing video, so honest and forthright. I started watching you guys when you were building this van, but I lost track (health Issue), but I`m so glad I've found you again. I`m currently in the middle of a van build but not for full time van life. It`s true there are a lot of bullsh1t videos online, but you have to take them with the usual grain of salt. Your comment on the weather is bang on, and the savings going fulltime in van life are an eye opener. I have to agree with other commenters regarding the length of the videos, but you still manage to get a lot into the time you post, for Emma, mega job on the editing keep up the good work, oh and by the way welcome to Ireland. Looking forward to the next video already.....best wishes Karl & Martina in Blarney

Thank you both so much, hopefully you are well on the mend now and in much better health! The savings we have made would have been more but we both had holiday mode firmly turned on in our heads for the first 5 weeks when it came down to eating out etc but we will find the balance! But we couldn’t have picked a better country to start our new journey in, it’s absolutely stunning and the people are amazing 🫶

Awesome job with the editing, and I am right with you both on being addicted to Prime..... One thing that always comes to mind is - what about the future? Are you also "saving" for that, or is it living in the moment (with a disaster fund just in case)? Love the van, looking forward to more adventures.

We have found out through getting thrown in the deep end we aren’t massive planners as our travels around this beautiful country have been very zig zagged 😂😂, and for the first 5 weeks we have both been in holiday mode in our heads, but yes the future is always in our minds, but for the time being we are just adjusting to our new way of life and changing career paths also so we are in a bit of a whirl wind at the moment but it will soon settle!

I enjoy watching your videos and some from your friends . I think 25 to 30 minutes a video is plenty any more takes away from watching other youtubers videos. My favorites are traveltrolls , grind hard plumming and jp lamvrue. I cannot watch all in a evening if they are over a hour. Short is better for me.
@UrbanVanlife
@UrbanVanlife Ай бұрын
We agree 20/30 minutes is plenty for a video as there are so many channels to watch all with a different take on placed and life, the only long form we watch (sometimes 3 hours) is Matt Armstrong and log cabin build/woodworking videos as they tend to draw you in and you get lost in the experience, but we do have to watch it in parts sometimes 😂😂
