Lovely site for a house, probably cool in summer but a beast in winter.. Sad rather than creepy - someone invested a lot of time and money into the renovation to date - to walk away from it leaving documents, books, work lights etc., suggests something serious has taken place - an accident perhaps, a death maybe, but serious enough to never come back. Dreams unfulfilled..sad.

Some exterior doors the door handles look backwards. Who ever was renovating used a exterior door for the bathroom. It may answer why they didn't finish the renovation because they didn't have the money for proper buildings supplies. Nice house. Spooky and all I wouldn't mind living there. Nice find thanks for sharing it with us.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
No worries David glad you enjoyed ans yes this was a bit spooky. The points you make a good as there is a lot of ideas and things started but far from finished! Maybe he(they) gave up and moved on. Perhaps an interstate buyer got it and is letting the land price rise.
@MrGaryRoberton6 жыл бұрын
The house and land has that "time stopped" feeling. as if after the owner left the work of renovating one day, they never came back. Seeing all the recycling deposit bottles, perhaps a homeless person was using it as a squat for a while. Good job of capturing the scene.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Well said Garry. It certainly felt completely forgotten about. By the large amount of old things and machinery I`m thinking it had a very long time owner. Maybe handed it over to the kids and they cant be bothered with it. Or they did not have kids..........Mysterious.

12:12 I can tell you that hot water system is pretty modern, late 2000s early 2010s so I think they were working on it around then. Surprised they left the vehicles, suggests to me something greater happened than just the project getting too expensive that caused the place to be abandoned, unless they were all scrap to begin with

This house seriously needs a lot of work done. Why would anyone take on this task. Unless these are what they call, one dollar homes. Kind of sold as is. I rather take one of the cottages or bungalows, you have shown in the past. Maybe lack of funds, found out it was more costly than expected. Thank you again sir, for an interesting tour.

The land itself is valuable enough to make renovating the house worth it i reckon...but if you can't afford to you can't afford to but I wonder why they didn't sell the property. Maybe they thought they would come back, maybe they still plan to

I bet if you took a battery and some fresh diesel that tractor would start. Somebody loved their beer! All the cans and bottles left behind. That was a very nice kitchen not too long ago. The family might have had a little person living there. I’m thinking that people lived there and tried to remodel the house but ran into problems that were tp serious to overcome. And just said the heck with it and drank a ton of beer then they moved on. That is one interesting light fixture! Or what you tossers call a spa bathtub.

Ah !... there are quite a few stories running thru this house !... and (for me) there's one what seems to be a dark mystery. I'll save that one for later--- :) . I think that last occupant(s) liked to hoard- when I first saw all the collections of soda and beer containers my alarm went off. Old truck tires, worn out vehicles, farm equipment, sheds filled with junk- either a hoarder or some one who didn't have any good place to dispose of trash. I'll go with the Hoarder. . Some one was trying to renovate the property- but it was in a most amateurish, ham-hand'd manner- they must have burned out, run out of money, moved away or just walked away from the project. I noticed that the toilet and bathtub appeared new and unused- dusty, but new all the same. The tub even had its label on the inside. The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry. . The thing that intrigued me was that interior door with the deadbolt lock and key. Why was that there?...A former front door maybe-- , but when the addition was added why wasn't this converted to a plain interior one?... were they trying to keep someone in or someone out?... . Probably a quite innocent explanation there- but where's the fun in that.... .lol
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hey Ana I had the same thoughts going through my head. There were so many things going on here that I could not make a definite decision on what happened. Some things suggested it was lived in a fair while back but most things suggested it was just a reno project that came to an end.....then junk built up and nothing more.......Where did the owner go! lol

Urbex Indigo I didn't know Mike was into deer skulls. My parents had a place Upstate New York that had cabins in back of the main big building that also had rooms to rent, a big kitchen, tables/chairs for folks to eat at & a big beautiful bar & alot of land. The place would be worth a fortune today but my dad made us move. But we had dear heads hung up all over the place. Mike would be in heaven.

The kitchen cabinets are beautiful and expensive wood at least here in the USA
@tamarrajames35906 жыл бұрын
This was a nice piece of land, some great old fruit trees near the house just need a good pruning and opening up in the centre. Looks like it was originally a homestead, and someone had ideas of remodelling it into a more up to date home. It would be a big job, considering the need for a septic tank and better water supply. I’ve been trying to age the Reno pieces, but there seem to be various time periods represented. The tub looked 1970s home spa tub with bubble jets. The bedside table looks like 1980s wood with pressed fibre drawer bottoms. The ceiling light with two bulbs is rather 1950s/60s. The wooden desk/credenza has the feel of contemporary modern 1970s office or hotel furniture. It’s almost like they gathered things from sales that they might want without regard to a specific time or style.🖤🇨🇦

At --17:49-- It looks like a small bike. At--15:15-- did you add the kids talking sounds? What's with the bit under the floor boards? Was someone helping to fix the place up but got greedy & maybe did the owner & family in & put them under the house, in a wall, or the shed & then partied & then left? Even if the say 'owner' died & all.... a child of the owner if didn't want to stay there ....they would have sold the place & materials. If it were a child or children of the owner (s) they wouldn't have just left all those mataterials there like that. Something just doesn't seem right. It is such a beautiful place the way the land is...to just have it sit there like that? Normal buyers of the place wouldn't just have it sit there like that. You sure know how to find the good ones, you and Mike. I'd like to pop over there with my metal detector. Who knows what might be found.

Hey GhostCity! Yes I did add those voices, family chatter during the montage. During those montages I extract the video audio and make some ambient music or add some sound effects. To me this property seems to have had a long time owner as there is a lot of accumulated machinery and much junk sitting around. At some point perhaps the kids took over the property and have no interest in continuing the reno`s or it has been sold off to someone interstate or far away.......Mystery indeed. I did not get under the floor to check for bodies hehe. :-)
@ghostcityshelton93786 жыл бұрын
Urbex Indigo I think you're right. Ha, ha, ha, like your last line. Probably no bodies, was just a thought. Clean up the junk that would be a pretty place to live. Stay safe !

thought it may have something to do with why the house was abandoned as the owners may have died from it.

Could very well be, I will try do a search on the address. I did notice hunting stuff and even deer skulls also traps hanging in the shed so the previous owner was hunting savy too.

Enjoy all your videos. Just to help with the “Yankee” thing: according to Wikipedia, Yankee. ... Outside the United States, "Yank" is used informally to refer to any American, including Southerners. Within Southern American areas, "Yankee" is a derisive term which refers to all Northerners, or specifically to those from the region of New England. Also saw reference it may come from a British general who commanded New England troops in 1758 or perhaps from a Cherokee word meaning coward. I don’t exactly take offense but let’s maybe say it’s not the equivalent to mate or friend. More cultural than political I guess. Keep up the good work. ❤️ PS Yes I am from the American south 😂
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Have the New York Yankee`s changed their name yet? If not then perhaps they should :-) It is very confusing for us who hear that term celebrated by Americans only to hear it is not accepted. I wont use the term anymore Susan, we grew up with it but times change and we adapt. Cheers for watching and your support :-)
@susanmiller41596 жыл бұрын
You have an excellent point. There are plenty of Yankee fans all over the U.S. and there is a Yankee Coffee Shop in a nearby town. I guess I’d try to explain it by saying the NY Yankees are from the North so it’s ok if they call themselves that. And as for the coffee shop if a New Englander opened it then that’s ok. I really get your point though. You say whatever you want. I’m fine with it. Just thought you might wonder why some Americans react to it that way. Love your videos and honestly I’m sure there are plenty of people out there calling us a lot worse right now. Like simpletons or idiots. 😂❤️😂

Hey Susan at least i`m learning a bit more about the history and culture now. I is good to know why some people react that way lol. oops now I know. Aussies are renown for calling people by nick names so my bad again. Glad you are enjoying the old Australian houses Susan it is cool to see the differences over the eras and countries too. :-)
