I don't really like the new hyper defence focused Leinster to be honest. It's formidable and could work, but I prefer a more attacking style. Leinster haven't been far away and could easily have won all three of the last Champions Cups instead of losing them, very fine margins. Our handling has gone to shit for some reason. Not sure the focus on defence above all else is the main cause but it can't help.

Leinster can still attack. The tries they scored in the last two games were class.

6 groups of 4, play home and away: those that finish top go straight to 1/4 final; top 4 of the 2nd place teams go to playoff. Or 8 groups of 3, play home and away. Top teams go to 1/4 final.

It's not quite a zero sum game but there is something to it. You can't simultaneously put defence first and attack first, that's just logic.

TBH I'm not a fan of the URC format either. If each team isn't playing every other team home AND away, it's not a real league

all this discussion shows that any competition where you have to travel thousand of miles for a game do not make any sense. Why the north and the south be in line for their seasons? That too is crazy. In no sport there is a inclusive club championship globally. It is just impossible to do. And by the way the world cup is even more one sided that the European Championship (pool stages) and nobody complain

3 teams in one group = 6 match days. It's longer. One third of all teams in the comp won't even play on any given match day. Im really starting to hate all these below par journalists. It's listening to morons like this that got us into this mess. Please DO NOT speak without thinking. Sick of this nonsense.

How would there be 6 match days in a group of 3? 🤔 One team plays the other two teams twice. That's 4 matches. You're right about one team not playing every match day, but that might not be a bad thing with player welfare etc. Please do not leave comments without thinking. Sick of this nonsense
