Hello, I have a few doubts still, as there are soo many layers to be considered in this, like UCG accreditation, state vs private Universities, the H+ or H+/- status in anabin database etc. what about state Universities which don't have the H+ status, or even worst aren't present in the anadin database even if they have UCG accreditation? what about private Universities which have the H+ status but aren't UCG accredited? what about students from a H- or H+/- university had got their APS certificate before this news, but they still are in the application phase and haven't yet applied for a VISA, so are they going to face problems with the VISA in the future? There are alot of possible scenarios and layers which makes this whole thing so frustratingly complex and confusing....

Hi Bharat, hope you're doing well. I'm from a Private Indian University. When I took the admission, my university was H+ and a few of my seniors from the same course as mine have gone to germany for masters in the past. Now the thing is my private university has changed to H+/- now in 2024 and it's UGC accredited too. So the question- Is there any solution to make the university H+ or any other way to overcome this hurdle if I want to study for masters in 2025. (If there is no solution then should I start looking at other countries?) Thank you.

Did you check your University in the Anabin website? Check it once. Your University may still be H+. If it is, get your APS ASAP as it's valid lifelong.

Hi, I have a very big confusion cause of this new rule. I have completed my college from S.S. Jain subodh College and its affiliated by University of Rajasthan. University of Rajasthan is H+ accreddited but Subodh isn't. I have received by bachelors degree and it is from University of Rajasthan but my marksheets are from S.S.Jain subodh. So will I be eligible for APS? Following that my other doubt was that I have applied for APS in May so thats before this policy and I have mailed APS that will I receive my certificate as I have applied for my certificate prior to this rule. They told me that my application will be considered as I have applied before June 18th. So If I get the APS certificate and if my college is not under H+ so will it affect my VISA or german studies.

All that matter is the Degree-awarding University for your college. If your Degree-awarding university is H+, then no problem at all.. irrespective of your college.

All degrees issued by H+ institutions are recognised. Only status unclear institutions have some valid and some invalid degrees, while all degrees from H- institutions are invalid. So any DU university would be recognised, but whether it'd be equivalent is another matter. All 3 year Indian bachelor degrees, as far as I know, are not fully equivalent to a German bachelor degree. A four year degree at a H+ institution is however, equivalent to a three year German bachelor degree

@@BluDracoGaming yes, I did. So basically every small college in city in order to provide degree needs to be affiliated to a district level University. All the activities of the affiliated college right from admissions to announcing results are overseen by the university. I didn't knew this as I was still not in college.😅 So I came to the conclusion that is, Every school/college/institute that are affiliated to an university that is UGC approved are qualified for APS.

If your university (college) is not on this list, that means your university might be under something. In my case, my college is Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. My college is affiliated with Biju Pattnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha (both are mentioned in my certificate). When I searched with my college's name, I did not find anything. When I searched for what my college is affiliated with, I found it. I hope it helps you.

@@nmn5701 i went to APS dheli office last week travelling 2000km from my home country ...the guard said there is some sort of new management and people are getting their certificate with 2 to 3 weeks ...but i had appiled before 5-6 months ...so the guard suggested that write a cover letter with all details why u need it urgent with submission of all the documents which were in checklist .... done that....now waiting for that stupid reply.....its been 2 months we cant track the status of the certificate...if our fees is refunded then application is cancelled ...otherwise the watchman literally said ..believe in ur luck...there are are more than 1500 application daily and their rate is 400-500 approval per day...

Sir my college is a private college in Greater Noida which is affiliated with AKTU(which is H+) and gives aktu degree. So will I face any problem in getting aps certificate issued

Your college doesn't matter - your university does. The one which issues your transcripts and degree

Is Uni Assist accepting your application if your university is listed as H +/- or H - on the Anabin database even if you have an APS certificate?

My University is under review. Once UGC gives accreditation then, will anabin website update the status instantly or it takes time to do so? I am planning to apply for masters for year 2026

Note- This is only applicable for people whose university is not listed in the anabin database. (Most autonomous unis) You guys don't need to freak out; apply for aps in the same way as others, your application will be reviewed and not be rejected at first shot.

If it is affiliated to any other University, check for that and search that University if it's listed your university is also eligible
