when i started 15 years ago i imagined the day we can model in realtime at 30fps without having to render anything. We are very close now!

Galleries are all impressive and similar. Apart rendering of static imagery I dont see anything that other apps cannot do. D5 seems to me a walkthrough renderer.

Thank you! I haven't used enscape yet. Maybe I should give it a try and make a video about it. 🤔 That way, I can give you a genuine answer. Thanks for the idea. 🫡

This is really interesting, maybe in other video, can you show how long it took to setting up the scene (like this in this video) it self? put light and so on. Thanks

Thank you. Did you mean making a video that shows creating everything from scratch? Like a timelapse video?
@box_story2 жыл бұрын
@@silvercoloredlens well yes if you can, but what i mean is workflow in D5, like, putting light (for night scene), camera, and everything that need to be done in D5. i'm curious how long it took in D5 for setting up scene like this.

Hi Angela. You can open up the SketchUp file that comes with it >> replace the building model with yours >> save >> In d5 render, press the reload button. Hope that helps. 🙂

This makes no sense. If you are an archviz artist there is no need to move out of the DCC app of your choice whether its 3DsMax, Maya or Blender. This seems like any urgent changes and renders will take more time than if you were to just stick with established workflows. Also, now you can get all this in real-time with game engines. Don't mean to dump on your video, but this doesn't look efficient at all and all this can be done without spending money.
@silvercoloredlens2 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for checking out the video. You're absolutely right. There's no need to move away from your current choice of software if you're getting your time and money's worth with it. By all means, stick with what you have. I have been a long time 3dsmax + Vray user myself and it was a pain back then to even make a single adjustment of your liking and get a quick preview of the final result. If you've been in the industry long enough, you would know that every year these new developments are making it easy for us users to tweak each parameters and see the results in real-time (as easy as playing around with a slider). This video shows you that and don't forget that this software is absolutely free (with a few upgrades if you want to purchase the PRO version). Mind you, being efficient depends on your workflow, either with yourself or with a team. You just need to pick which one suits you best. 🙂

Established workflows are slow, currently. It’s software like this that are pushing into real-time. Interior scenes can take hours to render, and if it’s a video then weeks just for HD resolution. D5 are working on integrations for DCC, so that will happen and become more seamless over time. Then, as GPU tech gets more powerful with the likes of raytracing and real-time path-tracing this software will be built on and improved..Other benefit is as this tech gets better and more popular, it gets attention from the big guns so they either acquire or build something native. It’s somewhat naive to not see the value in these types of apps or what affect it has on the industry.
@silvercoloredlens2 жыл бұрын
@mikeadamwood yes you're right. It's software like these that are making great leaps towards for the better, but disregarding established workflow is a huge mistake. Both need to work together to be efficient. It's like building skyscrapers relying completely in technology without knowing the proper standard practice, regulations, and timely execution. Your building will surely fail and collapse. 🙂
