Finnish President, Alexander Stubb, supports expanding the U.N. Security Council, abolishing single-member veto rights, and booting out Russia, he told Reuters on Sept. 18 2024. The Finnish president said he is ready to call for these reforms during the upcoming U.N. Assembly in New York. According to Stubb, any council member engaged in an illegal war "such as Russia is in right now in Ukraine" should be suspended.

If most countries had presidents like Zelenskyy, & Alex Stubbs of Finland, this would be a far better and safer world. (Stubbs is calling for no more one country vetos & to evict Russia from the U.N. Security Council entirely bc it is ridiculous they have not already! Security? They're the biggest threat!) Anna is right, but more tactful than I am. Cowardice is rampant. I think my country is odd & misguided for not trusting vitality at a mature - but not tired & wary - age & putting men who should have retired approximately 2 decades earlier on a ballot is frankly irresponsible and bizarre. Medieval kingdoms knew better. Have we evolved, or regressed?! Seriously, history shows what happens to kingdoms with spent leaders. Do they think nations thrive with them? Resilience fades. Hesitancy kicks in. Life force is crucial at the helm, and vital to any allies as well. We should never have hesitated to give full force and support immediately! See her other video on this topic, Toropets. It isn't just my little opinion. And I love that she said it too! It's a fact. Countries need guts, mutual responsibility & no hesitation in self defense and aiding the defense of other countries, to halt and prevent such catastrophic invasions. It is that hesitation to stand up with gusto that is of great threat, not full on defense of Ukraine! Ukraine is a much stronger country than any and thank goodness. Blessings to Ukraine! The storage appears to have been 240 tonnes per silo. The total amount stored appears to be in the tens of thousands of tonnes. So probably the amount destroyed in the initial impact and subsequent fires and explosions are 10 to 100 times the figure you quote. It was enough to cause an earthquake measurable across Europe. We have all seen the video where three almost simultaneous explosions occurred across a wide area. Drones hitting a reinforced underground facility would have almost no effect. Maybe these are the recently announced Ukrainian missiles with the capabilities that the US do not want used. Big thumb up then.
@disposabullАй бұрын
Multiple earthquakes were measured, probably as each silo exploded. It doesn't matter if it's a drone or a missile, one is just faster than the other, it's the design of the explosives hitting the target that matters.

I looked up the location of this one. It's about due west of Moscow - so Ukraine didn't just blow up a munitions store, they also announced that they could have hit targets in Moscow if they wanted to. Also, this munitions store was a lot closer to the borders of the Baltic states than it was to Ukraine. I think the Baltic states' strong support for Ukraine just got repaid - those munitions aren't available to drop on the nearest target now!

morale--there's an "e" on it
@WildWoodsGirl65Ай бұрын
Right .. can't destroy the moral(s) of an enemy who has none. But we knew what was meant. And it's not only true but fair. Russia has committed atrocities specifically to attempt to break the unbreakable Ukrainian spirit. Most Russian people do not know what is really happening bc state news lies or omits truth. It would have the added benefit of making them spread news the old cold war era way, from people local to each event by quiet word of mouth & they would know then their government had earned it, caused it to happen bc enough older people are still around who are aware of how the Kremlin operates. They'd understand the signs. They can't speak out safely. But they have used the grapevine before. They have rioted before too, after using their word of mouth network. Perhaps it is time they knew to rebel again. Remember the "Russians" we see speaking against Ukraine on these platforms are paid propagandists, threatened not to speak, and not necessarily actually all Russians, but fascist sympathizers, fringe of society found by searching for keywords across world social media & family of Russian army career officers - not of conscripts. Like other countries there are pockets of blind loyalty Patriots, indoctrinated people for whom it's poverty or military, grateful for an income without which there'd be no other. Much of the country, most oblasts, actually do not support the system. And Russia has been taking away sovereignty from ethnic oblasts & occupied actual countries they call oblasts that were invaded & seized by the Soviets. Toropets knows the state media is lying& the blasts were felt as earthquakes all the way into Finland. They'll have been felt in a radius of that distance. The talk will begin to spread. There are ways of accessing news despite bans & blocks techies know. It only takes one. They'll have already searched & covered their tracks. #NeutralizeRussia #SecureTheUNSecurityCouncil #NoMoreOneNationVeto #SlavaUkraini

Balk and bawk bawk sound alike for a reason. Chicken shits indeed. To stop a bully, or corrupt megalomaniac, you do not hem and haw, you shut them right tf down with backbone and without hesitation! That show of weakness & impractical shameful cowering by non-Ukrainian "leaders" is why it has lasted so long and continues. Younger leaders however are showing far more guts. There needs to be a cutoff age for the presidency & Congressional seats of a certain superpower exhibiting fear & timidity rather than that supposed power bc that their strength has waned (if they ever genuinely had any) is greatly underlined by the contrast with Zelenskyy, and other younger but truly mature and competent leaders unafraid to speak out about how ludicrous it is to allow Russia to act in such a way & remain in world organizations just bc of contributions generations ago in WWII. Decades ago they should have been booted & sanctioned & boycotted & their wings firmly clipped. And no, not better late than never. 2014 would have been far from the first damn good reason. A little more Intel for you and your audience. Those are long term storage bunkers. The missiles outside are being readied for use. During this process the blast doors would be open. I believe this what gave Ukraine the advantage. By igniting the outside ammo. That would then ignite the missiles in bunker. This shows Ukraines ability to make perfectly timed attacks.
@thechancellor3715Ай бұрын
Ah, yes. That might explain the huge mushroom cloud being feed door so long.
@screambeyondАй бұрын
I share your gladness, but the explosion of the bunkers cannot be provoked by the explosion of missiles placed outside. The bunkers have to be penetrated by missiles that are designed for such task. Obviously Western missiles (it is a joke to say that such thing can be done by drones). The West has been misinforming purposely about the use of such weapons, so Russians were taken by surprise.
@taras3702Ай бұрын
@@screambeyondOR there is another possibility. Ukraine has developed its own equivalent of Iskander missiles, and they certainly would be able to punch through the top of reinforced concrete bunkers before exploding inside.
@screambeyondАй бұрын

I think 240 tons was the capacity of a single bunker or storage unit, and there are (were) many such storage units in that storage facility. Earthquake detection systems estimated a release of 1.3 kilotons of energy, and I have seen estimates that there were some 20,000 to 30,000 tons of explosives there, though some were old and possibly degraded shells and explosives. Note that the general in charge of building his facility has since been arrested for corruption, before this attack (it would be much easier to list the generals that are NOT corrupt in the Russian army).
