You nailed it, Thomas ... Thain's ability with the melodic bass and solid sync with any drummer he played with .... very underrated. He and Hensley made Heep what it was when they were magical. :)

When I think back about Uriah Heep first I think about him and Ken!!! Gary coz he died without giving les than maybe 20% of his talent, Ken, coz he should have even more influence on their career!I am maybe wrong about Ken but for great late Thain I am 100 %sure! What an bass player, those fingers, style, cool on stage, he was the man!!!

Золотой состав Легендарных Юрай Хиипов . Четырех к сожалению уже нет : Гэри Тейн басс - 1975 г., Дэвид Байрон - вокал , Кен Хенсли клавишные - год 2021 или 2022 , Ли Керслик ударные 2021 или 2022 г. Как же их не хватает для этого мира . Мик Бокс ещё здравствует , один остался из того золотого состава , дай бог ему здоровья !!!!!

Genau, stimme dir vollumfänglich zu, bei uns im damaligen'' Ost -Berlin '' war die Rockmusik, die man auch anfänglich heimlich im West- Radio gehört hat überlebenswichtig, um nicht im eingemauerten Osten zu verblöden. @@jcoop23The audio is live. The footage is edited together from old shows. One of those, I think, comes from Japanese TV, perhaps around 1973. Don't ask me where the original is. But it would be great to see it restored.

Два раза был на их концертах...в середине 90-х и начале 2000х .Хоть это был и не первый состав ,но это нечто ,когда вживую! Первый раз был с похмелья ,чуть сразу не ушёл от тяжёлых барабанов на вступлении) усидел,а потом просто в кайф было!)

Always enjoyed me some HEEP. Only saw them once but it was this line up at the legendary former livestock auction hall Chicago's International Amphitheater, the site of many a great 70s rock show. Sad to see the only man left standing is Mick Box. Like Lemmy once said, "Dead men tell no tales..." but at least we have all the great memories and video footage like this to send us back in time even if just for a few moments.

Bootleg recordings were not all that common in my experience either. newly released record albums were $3.49 at Johnny B Goode Records and who would want a recording that was made under your jacket? LOL. I thought they also played The Magicians' Birthday but after all it was over a half a hundred years ago!

Well, quite possibly, out of the thousands of fans that were there that evening, someone managed to sneak a camera or a portable cassette recorder into the venue...

It's sad to note that Mick Box is the only surviving member out of the five members here. I turned 15 years old in 1973 and Uriah Heep has remained my favourite group over the years.
