Prevention is key. Eat diet low in purines and avoid certain meds and alcohol. Do the following :
Diet. Eat healthy. Low protein diet. No alcohol. Dash diet. Excercise , more water. Avoid diuretics

No need to treat a symptomatic increase in Uric acid unless stones or CKD or more than 1 gouty attacke per year or tophi formation or arthopathy because of gout and
You treat with allopurinol or febuxostat etc

It causes Stones .... Urate stones are well known.
Can cause CKD.... higher UA level can cause NEW and progressive CKD. Would drugs to lower Uric acid cause slow in CKD progression is controversial. Hyperurecemia is also associated with
HTN
Fatty liver
New Onset Diabetes
And heart disease.
