He is the best male jazzsinger alive at this moment. You can draw that line trough from a man like Mel Tormé. Sinds Mel Tormé passed he is the most interesting male jazzsinger alive now. I wis that Ella and Mel could have heard him.

You both are greatly exaggerating, but Kurt Elling may have a claim at the best male jazz voice today after the passing of Al Jarreau - by far the best jazz singer during his lifetime, and that's not realistically debatable. And whoever said Kurt Elling is "by far the best voice ever" must have been his mother who wrote that comment. Let's stay in the realm of reality good people - This is a great song and Kurt Elling has a great voice, so let's just enjoy the good music and not make ridiculously outlandish claims to upset the jazz gods of the universe.
