I like to headcanon that a man, of all bipedal beings, carrying a banner of free food (dragon) set foot to Akaviri lands. From there on the land of Akavir were at truce from warring with each other, and set their sights to a common goal: to devour the dragon soul of the emperor of "man", racing on who gets to munch on it first. Now, with the strongest and most capable of their warriors, mages, and thieves, an entire continent dedicated to make the invaders suffer with the weather is the least amount of trolling they can do. From lethal snakes, feral tigers, crazy monkeys and hardened demons, Uriel could only dance to the tune of the war he waged. Thank you for covering Akavir for this lore-cumentary!

Your in luck, the lore from this video is from the Beyond Skyrim modding team. The Beyond Skyrim projects have already made massive progress and I'd personally guess Roscrea is probably looking at a mid to late 2023 release date at the latest. Development on most of the projects is very solid, some of em are pushing close to partial release. The Illiac bay team is releasing 'Three Kingdoms' (three different citystates) of the High Rock/Hammerfell region sometime soon. Of course it's all being done by unpaid modding teams, so time tables vary, but these guys are legit badasses with how much they have done since the project started. That and the ambition of the project. By the time their done, all (or most) of Tamriel will be playable in Skyrims engine. You'll be able to walk from Shornhelm to Archon and Firewatch to Torval (with loading screens of course). You should check out their youtube channel, they drop new bits of finished content and updates all the time for the different projects. Almost certainly will get to play most if not all of the Beyond Skyrim mods well before TES 6 ever comes out.

We don't know what the Tsaesci are. "Asians", Snake people, Shapeshifters all have points in the lore. We haven't seen their homeland, nor a living breathing one. We've seen ghosts of soldiers and descendants. My guess is they're BOTH Snakes and Humans...An multicultural empire composed of multiple races. Snakes, Men and Dragons. Just consider this...The Empire on Tamriel is composed of multiple breeds of Humans and Mer alongside Lizard and Cat peoples. If Lizard and Cat people exist...There's no reason that Snake, Tiger and Monkey peoples can't. Eat = Conquer, Subjugate, Devour on a Cultural level. The multiple accounts contradicting on whether they're Humans or Snakes or Shapeshifters...Is because the different accounts met different types of Tsaesci (think less race more nationality). The Ghosts were Human foot soldiers, The Defenders of the Homeland and "Emperors" of the Potentate were Snakes, Shapeshifters are crossbreeds.
@Reedstilt2 жыл бұрын
@@khalduras784 The original intention was to be ambiguous and contradictory. One source in TES3:Morrowind says the Tsaesci are humans. Another says they are Snakefolk that ate humans. Later games seem to have gone with the Tsaesci being humans angle as the truth. Or perhaps 'conquered' is correct and the true Snakefolk Tsaesci just stayed in Akaviri while their human soldiers went to Tamriel.

I’ve always wanted a game set on the Isle of Roscrea. A nice place to see some Alaviri influences without needing to go all out.

Fantastic episode! Could you please cover the Battle of Autobot City?

Is it possible that you do an episode about economy of empire like you do with Tolkiens Arda? Or episode about east imperial trading company?

You didn’t use the awful music, and I love you for it.

Still a shame that we didn't got one of Bethesda's first ideas for Skyrim... Uriel returning from Akavir in command of a new army trying to reclaim his Empire. and thanks to ZeniMax Online's ESO we knowns that the Tsaesci are just boring humans.
@kiptheott2 жыл бұрын
Some of the Akavir in ESO do offhandedly mention shedding their skin, and it's established that the races of men and some beastfolk can interbreed. So it's possible that they're just descended from both the Tsaesci snake-people and the men of Akavir.
@@sephiroaone-of-nine101 Oblivion's Emperor is Uriel the VII...The Akaviri Invasion's Emperor was Uriel the V. It's not the same guy it's two different Septim Emperors. Though the question would be how is he still alive two centuries later and why would the Tsaesci spare and follow him. Also that his bloodline no longer matters at all...The Dragonblood that made them the only worthy lords is powerless now as it's no longer needed to light the dragonfires. A new dynasty that has won the peoples respect and love has been in command for over a century. If Uriel the V came back he's just a would be conqueror a threat to be slain for the good of Tamriel. So yeah it's a good thing they chose something else as he is a better character dying off how he did then bringing him back. So yeah it'd be dumb but it wouldn't ruin anything about Oblivion.

@@flamesofchaos13 I meant as in Martijn sacrifice that would be ruined. If throw was just a another royal bloodline individual

look up elder kings for elder scrolls strategy gaming fun. If you didn't already know it I'd recommend waiting for Elder Kings 2 to release (you can learn how to play Crusader Kings 3 in the meantime) as Elder Kings 1 has a lot of content based on payed DLC mechanics to the point of making it actually fun being quite expensive

You should make videos about the Dune universe by Frank Herbert
