One way that Uriel The Fith may have survived was via. the same way that Miirak had survived so long. There have been multiple accounts (to my knowledge) of Immortality in TES Lore besides Vampirism. If Uriel was as Ambitious as this entire video claims, him wanting to live longer so he can conquer doesn't seem too far-fetched seeing as the Septim bloodline is quite literally a bloodline of conquerers.

I doubt that as the lore states that the Tsaesci sought to hunt down and kill all the dragons (they enslaved the Red Dragons of Akavir but the Black dragons escaped to Po' Tun, a war broke out and most dragons either died or fled to Tamriel). However, I'm going to toss my own crazy theory out there. What if Ka'Po'Tun is actually Uriel V? Ka'Po'Tun's greatest enemy is the Tsaesci and he is set on destroying them and then conquering Tamriel. He is also the only one of the Ka'Po'Tun to have transformed into a dragon, something we know is possible for the dragonborn. Perhaps there is a mysterious power native to Akavir that stabilized Uriel's transformation so that he did not die as Martin did. We know the Tsaesci at least posses a power similar to the Thu'um so there could be other secrets that are hidden in the continent.
@Plums724 жыл бұрын
@@WWYD0 I really like this theory
@BakedPotatoYT14 жыл бұрын
Bissin No, Tsaesci's enemy has always been the Dragons. They needed a Dragonborn in order to help them against their enemies. That's why Tsaesci bowed and surrendered to a Dragonborn, Ka'Po'Tun can't be Uriel V. Also, Dragonborns can't transform into a dragon form. Martin Septim transformed into an Akatosh form, which Akatosh decided to do in order to protect Nirn from the Daedric Prince. So no, they cannot transform into one and if they can Miraak could've done it a long time ago especially with the Daedric Prince of Knowledge giving him knowledge. Dragonborn stands for a mortal with dragon blood running in it's veins making them part dragon part mortal so they don't have the power to transform into full dragon.
@WWYD04 жыл бұрын
@@BakedPotatoYT1 So why can't Uriel V be Ka'Po'Tun? You never really covered why he can't be. And Hermaeus Mora does not hold all knowledge, this is seen when we have to convince the Skall to give up the secrets of their own to Mora in exchange for learning a new shout. Because of this is it not inconceivable that Mora does not know how to transform oneself into a dragon, which seems to be an intimate knowledge of the Ka'Po'Tun who as far as we know do not even acknowledge Mora's existence. We know that transforming oneself into a dragon is supposedly possible if the inconsistently reliable sources on Akavir are to be believed. It would stand to reason that one with dragon blood in them would have a better chance of this transformation than one without any dragon blood at all.

Okay this story is very intriguing, I’ve watched it multiple times. Todd Howard stated recently that he would like the gamers to spend a decade playing TES6. One of the most obvious ways to ensure gamers can do that would be to officially bring big collaborations like Beyond Skyrim to a vanilla game like allowing players to explore multiple lands and possibly international territory. The mystery behind Uriel V could be one of the main quests that expand the players exploration across seas to Akavir. Hopefully they can include it TES6.

It is never explained why the Dragonborn is caught crossing the Cyrodill/Skyrim border in rags anywhere in the story that I could find. That is definitely interesting, although, I doubt that First of all, we really do not know much about Uriel V on the current canon, but if he was a Septim, it would mean that he is the ancestor of Uriel VI and the VII The problem with that is that, although, the Emperors where described as dragonborns, they could not shoute, nor (probably) absorb dragon souls, only to ignite the flames in the Imperial City to keep the Daedra away About the Dragonborn as the player character, eh... You know, it it a problem with playable characters in TES Their past left ambiguous for the better role-playing experience, sometimes to the point that we are not sure if there was even a canon past at all (hence, the mistirious appearence of the Champion of Cyrodiil in the chamber where he wasn't clearly there before, even with the fact that Champion is the only one from protagonists to have confirmed relatives The Dragonborn might simply be the Dragonborn because Akatosh/Kinareth/Shor or whomever chose him to be one to defeat the Alduin in his current form And it is not made easier since Dragonborn might be also a Shesarine as the Champion of Cyrodiil was And Shesarines are known to observe really strange reality-defining powers: - Pelinal was a time-traveller; - Tiber Seprime assended to the ranks of Aedra; - Wulfharth the Ashking was defeated and then resurrected; - The Champion of Cyrodiil literally became a Daedric prince Which can be explained by the fact that Shor is Lorkhan and that Lorkhan is in a way always opposed to Auriel/Akatosh, the God of time, whom all of the Shor's avatar seems to define one way or another So, Dragonborn can literally be a person from the past or future and it wouldn't even be a stretch So... yeah, it's quite hard to say if he ever was intended to have a be a descendant of anyone (As a side note, probably the easier of all main characters to describe is the main character of Daggerfall - the agent, as he is blaitanly confirmed in the opening cinematic to be a close friend of the emperor and... well... his agent Yet, he is probably the most influential one of all, since his actions under the order of the Emperor led to the Warp of the West, one of only 4 definitely 100% confirmed dragon breaks)

Considering the fact that the Tsaesci are some kind of reptiles, maybe their species is somehow related to the dragons? Maybe they are some kind of lesser dragons or something, and that is why they just surrendered when they heard the emperor shout, they considered him, the dragonborn, to be their superior, you know, dragon soul and all that. Maybe the people of Tamriel were right about the fact that the dragons from Akavir were extinct long ago, and the name "Akavir" doesn't refer to the actual dragons, but to the Tsaesci, as them being the "dragons" that inhabit the continent. I know it doesn't make that much sense, but there may be some truth to this. What do you think? Anyway, it's just a theory that came to mind while watching the video (a great one as always, btw).

Interesting Theory but i don't think its real because the Tsaesci are known for hunting and eating Dragons, which is the reason why a lot of Dragons moved to Tamriel(i'm not sure about that). I think more that the Tsaesci want to kill al Dragons, thats why they don't want to kill any Dragonborns because they are the Ultimate Dragonkillers and maybe it is an Unholy thing in there Religion to kill a Dragonborn. That is maybe the Reason why the remaining Tsaesci after the Invasion of Tamriel created the Blades Organisation to protect and serve the Dragonborn Emperor

This is honestly by far my favorite video of yours. It was just absolutely phenomenal. But I want to just say what I think will happen... Like a lot of people theorize; I believe ‘TES VI: Redfall’ will be a game about the Second Great War. A battle between the Imperials and the Thalmor in Hammerfell. Not sure what will happen there, but I assume it’ll be similar to both Skyrim and Oblivion in terms of conflict. I don’t believe there’ll be much about a Uriel Septim V return... yet. There’ll be a few easter eggs in books and across the game potentially hinting at the return of Uriel V to reclaim his throne. But, you’ll first have to decide where you stand in the Second Great War. Thalmor, or Imperial? (Would like to add that I think Skyrim will be under the hands of an old Ulfric and his Kingdom would be unstable due to frequent Thalmor invasions, forcing him to seek aid from the Empire. But aid would only be given if Skyrim rejoined the Empire.) Then, in TES: VII (I think it’ll be called ‘Homecoming’, or ‘Conquest’. Maybe just Blackmarsh since that’s where I think it’ll be), your character is locked up in a swampy prison. There are Argonians with long spears patrolling around the grand prison in which you are staying in. Your feet deep in the swampy land, your hands bound together. The Argonian guards will then escort you to a small room. You’ll be placed in shackles. The guards will torture you for a minute or two before a loud *bang* is heard. The guards begin leaving to figure out what is happening, but before they could open the door to leave the small torture room, the walls collapse. The guards dead, and you lay under rubble. You awaken to a couple individuals (who look similar to your torturers) clearing the rubble over your body. You’re badly wounded, and once you are able to see more clearly, you’re able to tell these people are not Argonians. They are dragon like individuals. A few slithering around with pikes, but most looking like humanoid snakes in armor. They begin communicating in a language you can’t quite understand. The snakes then slowly turn their gaze from eachother towards you. You hear a voice in the distance: “Wait!” You turn towards where the voice came from. A man in long silk robes only suitable for a man of great prestige. Lengthy whitish-grey hair flowing to his shoulders. He would shoo the reptiles away and you would hear a very loud noise coming from his mouth. In a tongue not similar to the other reptiles. In fact it’s hard to fathom how loud these words were. You faint as a result... A day later, you awaken in shackles again. Can’t seem to escape them, can you? You can tell you’re no longer in the prison you were in previously. There’s a small window where you can stare at the ocean. You look around, and see mossy stone walls. You must be in Lilmoth. Footsteps are heard, and not long before you know it, it’s the same man with the whitish-grey hair. He would ask questions, mostly about the Empire. “Empire?” You would think to yourself. “What Empire, the Aldmeri Dominion?” The man’s face would turn blank. He’d take a step closer: “Excuse me?” You would think for a minute, then he’d yell: “Don’t you know? I am Uriel Septim! Leader of the Third Empire, fifth Emperor of the Imperials. Conqueror of Akavir.” You now remember. The Empire, Martin Septim, the Great Wars, a united Tamriel. You’d tell Uriel Septim V that the Empire was no more, and that the Aldmeri Dominion, a group of High Elves who originate from the Summerset Isles have conquered the Empire and Tamriel. The Septim would nod, and inform you of his plans to reclaim his spot on the throne. He would free you, and his men would escort you out, where you could then be free to realm Blackmarsh. You’d get to side with Septim and take back Blackmarsh. A couple expansions would allow you to face the leader of the Aldmeri Dominion in a final battle somewhere in southern Cyrodil. I don’t know where to take it from here. Been writing this for about half an hour, and I’m pretty proud of it. For the few people who do read all (probably most) of this, tell me what you think.

This is a really cool idea, but it makes no sense to have such a big plot point in a couple of expansions, should definitely be main game material. Also one thing I can't help but wonder is, if set in Argonia/Black Marsh, wouldn't it be kinda hard to retake the throne from there? It would almost seem to me like it would be smarter to have it set close to the Summerset Isles or on the Isles itself, to force the Aldmeri Dominion into submission, like they did with the Empire at the Battle of the Red Ring. Also, another thing that came into mind when writing the text is that perhaps Elder Scrolls 6 could somehow already hint how Uriel would've survived? Perhaps the Dwemer didn't really get as far as many think.. Perhaps they know of something we don't, and the Tsaeci too, and therefore the Tsaeci surrendered so easily? I know a lot of people are against ever seeing the Dwemer, or getting to know what happened to them, but I personally think that's a really boring opinion to hold, and just having all these unknowns for the Hell of it is a waste of good storytelling. It's been super interesting to ponder what happened to the Deep Folk for the last 30 years, but surely it's gotta become a plot point at some point. Considering how ES6 is most likely set in Hammerfell and/or High Rock, it'd be a pretty good time to include them (at least in a limited scope) and since they had a high presence in both provinces.

Loved the video, but when talking about Tod's quote, I think the real important part was "even my perspective is one version of truth". I think what he's getting at is even though they are careful they never break their lore...they also control it and at any point can just come up with any number of reasons why something happens. Most likely, at this moment, as far as anyone is concerned, Uriel V is dead, struck down by arrows. However, Bethesda can come back one day and say "Oh that was a decoy produced from a shout" or "the arrows were poisoned so he would LOOK dead so he could be captured". I thoroughly enjoyed the deep dive into the events leading to his "disappearance", but I don't think we actually can determine his fate. Like you said, while they were working on Oblivion, they were considering bringing him back in Skyrim, so they covered that possibility, but never acted on it. So for now he still "dead".
@theFORZA664 жыл бұрын
The akiviri knew he would be invading, so they decided to take the advantage of this to trap him, lure him into a situation where his army can be dealt with, because they potentially wanted his council or leadership. As for how it could be that the Emperor is still alive so many years later: Alduin too showed up at another point in time. The same could be true for Uriel. They might have even taken it straight out of the early script and applied it to everyone's favourite Dragon Baddie instead.
@IllusiveSerb4 жыл бұрын
So Uriel ALSO has a time-travelling Elder Scroll? Sure, we can make up anything to justify a theory. The snakemen are human-dragon hybrids, they possess dragon-like lifespan and they gave this secret to Uriel by whatever Daedra they are worshiping. Better yet, let's make it Akatosh to reeeealy sell the time-travel story.
@Starving_indev10 ай бұрын
I mean, not really 1) Alduin is a dragon, dragons aren't born, they don't age and they don't die of natural causes. And IF they die and their soul is not absorbed, they could easily be reborn. 2) The Alduin was sent to future by the usage of the Elder Scroll, which Uriel wouldn't likely be since he wouldn't most likely bring it with him to Akavir. He could be, actually, "preserved" in a similar way to Miraak (and I really think that the concept of Miraak was heavily inspired by Uriel V)
@Starving_indev10 ай бұрын
@@IllusiveSerbI mean, he wouldn't be the first one to time-travel just because Pelinal Whitestrake, although, being mostly present during Allesian reign and the war with elves in the Cyrodiil, he was a actually a cyborg from future (from the time period of the Second Empire - the Reman Empire) sent into the past somehow to the Fiest Empire - Allesian Empire (A little note: I could jumble the names a little bit, I don't really remember the currect spelling of those names)

@JokeCubed3 жыл бұрын
I think you kind of glossed over the fact that the book 'Mysterious Akavir' describes the snake-people as 'immortal'. That's a huge deal, and absolutely one of the reasons why Uriel V could still be alive. Perhaps as he was bleeding out, breathing his last breath, the snake-people turned Uriel V into a vampire. Maybe they are 'immortal' because they have an artifact, or some ritual that can resurrect the dead. I think it's entirely possible that Uriel V is still alive. Maybe they discovered he was a Dragonborn, and he became an advisor to the king, or led the snake-people armies to capture the rest of Akavir. Either way, there is a lot they could do with that storyline, but it sounds like Todd Howard doesn't want to.

With them being from the land of Dragons, it would be suffice to say that if they found someone who was both man in flesh but Dragon in soul who was able to use the power of the Dragons while still in a mortals body they'd want to keep him around for longer. Because dragonborns are their ruling class.
