ashleyyy the intro 🥺all of your planning and you specifically planning the dates to avoid all the kids potentially missing your dad's birthday/father's day weekend- totally felt that and what you went through!! ♥my sister and I went on our first solo/sisters international trip to South Korea a few months ago and it took A LOTTT of planning so i can totally imagine the stress and frustration of something like what you went through happening on such an important trip (especially as the planner and the one looking out for the sibs haha) but i am so glad everything worked out! was rooting for you the entire video ♥ I am hoping to travel to Japan one day and if you are able I would love for you to make a travel guide video for others interested in going such as logistics of entry requirements for tourists, must-see places, places you would avoid, how you found the transportation, travelling with a language barrier and any apps you thought were useful! The thing is, it was ONE thing to remember… a passport. Unless someone is of old age and suffering from Alzheimer’s, there’s no reason to forget ONE thing. i’m so sorry ashley - if it makes you feel better i had to fly internationally for spring break earlier this year but because my passport was expiring in a month they wouldn’t let me fly (i showed up to the airport and cried for hours cause i had spent my savings on a flight i couldn’t rebook or get refunded cause of expedia) - worst part is is that i knew it was expiring in a month but didn’t know the six month rule :( all my love to you, it’s gonna be a great time with da family anyways

dont feel bad it happens , my lovely wife booked everythinggggg to Mexico for our friends wedding and she never paid attention to her passport and same type of check in situation she went to check in but her passport was expired lol for some reason she was so worried about me and paying more attention to mine which expires in 2026 lol so needless to say we watched the wedding via facetime lol so it happens to the best of us and atleast you got to spend time in Cali for 2 extra days we were just stuck in Boston on the couch lol

I understand this feeling fully Ashley oh my god. Not as high stakes as a flight from US to Japan but last year on our way to Paris from the Netherlands I accidentally made me and my bestie get off the train at Brussels AIRPORT station instead of Brussels South station (3 stops further) and freaked the heck out. By the time we made it to the right station we missed our next train by a minute aaggghhhh. I felt so bad because we booked the tickets late so they were expensive and if we had to buy new tickets then and there they'd be full price and I didn't want to make my bestie waste over 100 euros for nothing. So we snuck onto the next train and played dumb that we were tourists and didn't know which train we were on and they let it slide thankfully. Ugh great start to the vacation just having a sobbing breakdown at the train station and everythings in french ahahaha. I understand your feeling of guilt and being so annoyed with yourself.
