They all look useful. I am considering getting something reusable that can clip to the inside of clothing for my two lavs. Currently use the moleskin sandwich method.

A moleskin sandwich is still very effective. No harm with using it. Low profile and simple. Cheap too. Thanks for watching.

Thank you for all that you do. I really appreciate your knowledge and all the time you take to make your thorough videos. I have a few quick questions if you have time: 1. I'm curious that out of all the lav mic accessories, including the ones you've put on other videos like the Bubblebee, what is your prefered under clothing setup when the main priority is reduced clothing rustle? 2. What is your preferred method of wrapping up the excess cable and placing the transmitter? I'm asking because I've had mixed results on my own short films using the using the Rycote undercovers and overcovers, a waist belt for the receiver, and wrapping up and taping the excess cable. I still get clothing rustle on occasion. I thought you are supposed to coil up the excess cable and tuck it away somewhere, but I'm working on a reality show right now where the sound mixer uses the RM-11 with moleskin to attach the lavalier to the talent and he simply wraps the rest of the excess cable around the Lectro transmitter and lets the talent stuff the transmitter in their pockets. 3. Have you noticed a difference in clothing rustle between the DPA 4060 and 6060? I'm on the fence about which ones to get when I upgrade my audio gear. The nicest lavaliers I've had were some Oscar Soundtechs that sounded amazing when mounted outside of clothing, but picked up clothing rustle when mounted beneath clothing unlike anything I've ever heard before, no matter how they were mounted. I'm worried if this is just a downside of all high-end lavaliers. Thank you in advance.:)

1) Email me. I'm not going to openly share my preferences because my way works for me but doesn't need to be everyone else's ideal solution. 2) I just cram it in the strap. 3) There are differences. If you correctly route them, leave slack but not too much and make sure the lavs are applied correctly, you should have great results unless the clothing is overly noisy.

I'm looking for a good transmitter receiver to my Sony ZV1 for lavaliers that has clean audio and is portable for testing my lavs and using when moving around doing reviews. Any suggestions for something clean that isn't hissy that can supply 7.5volts to the lav preferably less than 600USD

7.5V to the lavs? If doing content creation, why transmit? Why not record? I use a Deity BP-TRX in record mode but have thought about getting a Tentacle Track E.

@@SoundSpeeds I thought I read somewhere that the "MKE Essential Omni" requires active power but I don't see that in the specs sheet. I always thought the Tentacle Track E was for timecode... it can record to camera? I'd prefer not to have to add all audio in post edit especially when considering not everything is likely to be done in 1 or 2 takes and make be 10 takes to line up
@SoundSpeeds
@SoundSpeeds Жыл бұрын
The MKE requires power but I don't recall it requiring 7.5V from a transmitter. If you'd rather record to the camera, that's fine. What you use depends on you because I suggested a seperate recorder. For simple content creation, the Rode Go II wireless is popular but I'm not a fan of 2.4GHz wireless. If get a used Sennheiser G3 or Sony UWP if you can get a deal in your price range and need 1 channel.

I like that it has 10 hours of battery life and 32bit float and a sync app. Technically I'd just really need to learn how to sync in Resolve studio :P
@sparkestudio
@sparkestudio Жыл бұрын
@@SoundSpeeds I only need 1 channel IU was told that MKE does not work with the DJI mic which I returned cause the self noise really got to me in a studio environment and the internal recording itself has mic self noise of all thing. I had also be looking at UWMIC9S-KIT1 as it does have the output volts and maybe the saramonic blink800 b1 but I think it may have self noise. The Shure GLXD+ Dual Band Wireless System w/ GLXD4+ has beautiful clarity but it'll be studio use in that situation not being portable and makes it hard to do outside lavalier testing with consistent audio
