I'm from Turkey and this is one of my main moments of upsets in world cup history. I've remembered this match today and the upset from Ghana missing the world cup semi. His penalty style is risky. Instead of trying to fool the goolkeeper to the opposite side, he targets the top of the net. With that, he could have also hit the bar or missed over the bar in the penalty shootout. Such penalty shooter would never be my choice as a penalty shooter.

Bad argument. I guess you're from Ghana, and I understand your enthusiasm at that moment. I'm from Uruguay, not gonna lie... but also tired of criticizing our own ways of playing sometimes. That time, in many little actions the referees were helping Ghana, but there was a huge one: the free kick before Suárez expulsion, where clearly there wasn't any foul. Then, as we know, Suárez used his hand, and was correctly punished as the rules say. Gyan missed that penalty, and it's over. You were strong that year anyways, but didn't deserve more.
