The Ishida family (Soken, Ryuuken, and Uryuu didn't join the rest of the Quincies for "evolution" as they called it. So they don't have schrift and vollstandig amongst other things. Uryuu probably had the potential to activate it once he joined Yuha and ingested his blood. He got the schrift "A" if I'm not mistaken. But his father/grandfather never did
