Do you think that maybe it pooled here because this is the section where they took the surface off and never repaved it. From Gilber Road to Greenfield. When I reached out to ADOT they said they ran out of money to fix that section. My question to them is why did you tear it up then if you didn't have the money to complete the project. It will be interesting to see if this section of road deteriorates further having all this water sitting on it.

Karen the flood water pooling has nothing to do with surface of road. It rained hard. The drains were clogged and in addition it was to much down pour for the system to handle. Stop calling ADOT they don't need your help

@@MeoMiyo Well Jack Hass? Can you explain why they would tear up a perfectly good road and not have the money to fix it?

Leave it to Arizona and Maricopa County especially what a joke! And don't even ask they will not fix nothing and if they do it'll take five years and then they still won't do it right! We've been building rods for a thousand years and the roads when I was a kid were ten times better now they repay them every 6 months cuz they're cracked and have potholes in them including on the highway how ridiculous and what a waste of our money money money money do it right the first time

Not sure who they hired but just the way they seamed the sections of road together seems amatuer.. My secton of freeway had the sound deadening surface removed. Who ever the company was they hired they didn't clean the road before they opened it so gravel was pinging all the cars causing broken windshields and chipped paint jobs. A thick black cloud of dust was formed and it dumped into our neighborhood. Our neighborhood looked like the apocolypse. I called ADOT and complained and I was told they ran out of money to finish the section between Gilbert Rd and Greenfield. Why did they tear it up then? Also that black dust has all kinds of cancer causing materials in it. Who is in charge of these projects? Do they not know you get what you pay for? Went from hardly knowing the freeway becaue of the sound proofing but now it sounds like I live in the middle of the freeway. It didn't happen in the neighborhood any of the people who work for ADOT's neighborhood so they could care less.
