US-95 North - Las Vegas Nevada - 2020/03/09

Drivelapse video of US-95 North in Las Vegas, Nevada, starting from Interstate 215 (the Bruce Woodbury Beltway) and then progressing northerly along US-93, US-95 and I-515 through the recently reconstructed interchange with I-15 (improved as part of Project Neon), and then heading northerly through the Centennial Bowl interchange to the northwestern reaches of the metro area.

Fun fact: many locals in Las Vegas refer to that highway as I-95, even though the actual I-95 is on the other side of the country.

You hit some traffic there! Since your video, the first part of I-215 shown will get repaving and an extra lane each way over the summer. Two of the ramps at the NW junction are open now. Thanks for the plug at the end.

Cool, thanks! This video (and the one that precedes it) were filmed during the evening rush hour, so I hit a bit of traffic here and there. All things considered though, it wasn't that tough of a drive.

Great video! Not sure if you heard anti-lock braking system (ABS) but have you got into situation where you have to use anti-lock braking system (ABS)? If you never heard of it and never used it before, it's a braking system where it prevents from wheel locking up and it allows you to steer safety during emergency to reduce collision. I'm sure you seen the ABS light up for a few second when you turn on the car. Here's how to use anti-lock braking system (ABS) in case of emergency but I recommend you read the vehicle's manual to learn how to use ABS properly. Here's how to use anti-lock braking system (ABS) In general: 1. Apply firm pressure to brake pedal. 2. Press and hold pressure to the brake pedal. 3. Steer to safety. IMPORTANT: You may feel the brake pedal vibrate and hear a clicking sound - that is normal. Also, never pump your break, that will deactivate ABS. Thanks for the comment. I can assure you that I am familiar with ABS. Any self respecting Canadian has put their car into a slide (intentionally or otherwise) and felt the pulsing on the foot pedal of ABS braking system when driving through the snow.

I would not advise traveling Us Highway 95 from Las Vegas to Fallon Nevada because this is a dangerous road north of Mercury highway in Crystal Nevada. Anyone who has traveled on US Highway 95 should know it changes from a four lane freeway to a single lane road for the 355 miles between mercury highway and the I-80/US 95 junction in Fallon Nevada. I would like for Nevada’s highway 95 to be changed from a us highway to an interstate but why has us highway 95 not already been changed to an interstate.
