X44 project was canceled in 2000 before reaching production.

If the coating of the X-44 manta described is real and it could be applied to the B-21, SR-72, or UCAV's, imagine the leap! These really would surpass the F-22 and etc. One thing, besides stealth coatings, is that we, in the U.S. really need to safeguard is our engine technology.

Well when I hear Manta I think water and that got me thinking if they can Make a new air Fighter can they also make it for under Water....I mean it can be a Dominant air to air Fighter but what if it can also go under the Water like a sub but fast and then just pop out of the Ocean and attack what they want to Attack.... this would make this Fighter Hard Find and Hard to Stop
